NHS BIG DADDY Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Final. Holmes led by as much as 24 points. Statement game by the bulldogs.
16thregionfan Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Wow, great job Holmes. I predicted LC coming up with the upset, but Im not surprised at all at this outcome. Hopefully we (EC) will be seeing you in the morning.
3BREDS2B Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Great statement game for the Bulldogs! Who was the POG?
BaseballIsLife Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Great statement game for the Bulldogs! Who was the POG? I would think it would be Ricardo Johnson....
Theoldguy Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Holmes shut down Vee Sanford 11 Vee Sanford 2/13 0/3 2/2 6 4 3 3 2 6
NHS BIG DADDY Posted March 20, 2009 Author Posted March 20, 2009 Great statement game for the Bulldogs! Who was the POG? Rico and brother JJ were co POG's. I think both may have had a double double.
Theoldguy Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 I will ask this question again? Does anyone think Elliott County or Shelby Valley will try to run with Holmes, after seeing them blow out LexCath who tried to run with the Dawgs? Seems to me that the way to beat Holmes is to play them like both Boone and NCC did in the Ninth Region games......
NEERFAN Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 It's not often that you see a team dominate on the scoreboard when they turn the ball over 11 more times than their opponent.
StraightShooter Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 WTG Holmes. No way to beat them in an up tempo game IMHO so I kinda want EC to win just to show them that you won't beat the Dawgs if you try to push the tempo.
16thregionfan Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 People must really fear our Elliott County Lions, because they are brought up in every thread. Thats ok though. Us fans like the weakness.:thumb: WTG Holmes. No way to beat them in an up tempo game IMHO so I kinda want EC to win just to show them that you won't beat the Dawgs if you try to push the tempo.
BaseballIsLife Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Stat of the Game Holmes Turnovers - 24 LexCath Turnovers -13 And STILL Holmes wins by almost 20. If they even cutdown on those turnovers just even a little bit this game gets even worse.
NEERFAN Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Holmes is probably glad they haven't had to grind it out in their first two games. I agree with Old Guy, the best chance to beat them is by controlling the tempo, and being patient on the offensive end.
