Holmes is probably glad they haven't had to grind it out in their first two games. I agree with Old Guy, the best chance to beat them is by controlling the tempo, and being patient on the offensive end.

 

 

And that's the $64,000 question? Will either EC or SV realize that the best chance they have to beat Holmes is to slow down the temp and be patient? I really don't think EC can play that style of game, but SV?

It's not fear, it's respect and interest that fuels the Elliott County comments. Holmes vs. Elliott County would be a great game. Holmes has always been my 1(a) team, but it would be hard to root against Elliott County. :notworthy:

I believe EC is 0-1 against the Ninth in the last two years, so I doubt Holmes is scared of them.... Will the EC players legs be fresh enough (remember they only play five) to run with Holmes who walked through their games.....

 

If EC was smart, they would have or should watch the NCC and Boone County tapes.......

Holmes is the first 9th Region team EVER to advance to the semis three straight years. The last team to do it in two straight years was Newport in 1954-55.

Elliott County is a great TEAM. They spread it around and don't care who gets the credit... a great story for the people of Sandy Hook. However, they haven't played a team with the athleticism of Holmes.
