The Ladycats may have been together for while, but sadly their floor awareness is lacking. They make poor choices, get theirselves into situations that JV players make. I hope they can overcome these problems because they are really good kids and I would like to see the Ladycats program make some pregess.

I believe for the Lady Camels to improve there must be a change of attitude among the players. They must realize that basketball is not just something to do between volleyball/soccer seasons and softball season. Also they lose some girls who play on select teams for vollyball and soccer.

Allow your daughter to play both sports. Here is my thinking. If you think your daughter may get a scholarship, stop and take a look at some of the better players in your region over the past few years. See were they went and what type of assistance they received. Many of the girls went to private Division III or NAIA schools. They received assistance (but not a full ride), and the amount you have to pay is close to equal of what you would pay at a state supported school. They get to play, which a great experience and maybe their school of choice is a great academic school, but you are not saving much money.

The only postive aspect of this game was that NC hit their free throws. The half-time score was NC 32 - PC 20. Of the 20 points NC score in the 2nd half, I'm very sure 16 were free throws, maybe even 18. The girls on both teams hustled, but the game was very sloppy. Good luck to Nicholas Co. Thursday against HCHS. PC work hard over the summer to eliminate the mental mistakes. You have a chance to move up as everyone is back, except R. King.

I not only know where it is, but I have been there a couple of times and it is not in my backyard. Anyone have a more definitive answer? There were many more schools at that time, as that was before consolidation kicked in.

In discussing the upcoming 9th region display at the Beringer-Crawford Museum, I found out the the current way of getting to the state baketball tournament, distict-regional-state, was created in 1947. What was different before this current format was created, how did teams get to state before 1947? Did they have districts-regionals-sectionals-state, what was the format?

I believe the only additional funding is for schools that score low on their tests, so they may raise their scores. All the bonus incentives for teachers and schools disappeared a few years ago. The principal over-reacted by canceling ball games.

Does anyone ahve any news on the 7th region finals??? Will they be playing. I was reading a few threads, but I could not really make out when and if they would be playing. Good luck to all the teams playing in the Sweet 16 this year.

Jon really likes soccer, I have heard that at least one school has looked at him to play soccer for them and a few colleges bigger than Thomas More have looked at him to play basketball. Congrats Ty, can not wait to watch you boys play tonight. Good luck

I'm orginally from Campbell Co. and I say leave the regional in Maysville or give Montgomery Co. a shot. I never have seen the level of excitement that is seen at the Fieldhouse, maybe it could be duplicated at NKU, but I doubt it. Leave things alone, its great the way it is.

There should be some pretty good games played this weekend.

Terry has a cast on. I heard he goes to the dr. in two weeks to have it looked at and they will see what to do from then. But again this is just what I have heard.
