  1. Bell's tough this year. I wouldn't be suprised if they pulled this one out.
  2. If you don't think that Madison Central has home field advantage when it come's to officiating, then ask the 2004 Tate's Creek team how they felt playing there. I can remember back in 2003 also playing them there. We would drive down the field, then get a personal foul or a holding penalty everytime. But anyone can sit and blame their team's loss due to the ref's, the fact of the mater is, we still lost. Just in my personal experiance though I don't see it being called a fair game. That's coming from multiple game's not only the one's I've been involved in. You could be right though I hope the game's not affected by the guy's in the stripe's. But only time will tell.
  3. If this game is played at Madison Central, which I believe it is. I'm going to go a head and give the victory to Central. It's hard to win when it's 15 vs 11.
  4. They have too or it's going to be a long season.
  5. Crow never did taste that great. I was disapointed in the way South played tonight. Holmes came to play while South didn't. I think a big problem for South tonight was lack of leadership. Turnover's caused a big problem for the card's, along with lack of hustle on defense. There we're to many people not running to the ball and rapping up. There has to be a big change this week in practice and from now on. The road only get's rougher from here on out.
  6. Even though the cards lost a lot of solid player's from last year's 9-3 squad, south return's still a good core of athlete's. Every year it has been the same story over and over again. "How will you replace the talent you lost from graduation?" I think we have already answered that question time and time again. Even though south did loose a lot, they do return a lot. Player's such as Jeff Ledford, Rick Bowling, Logan Baker, and Terry Bingham, will lead the team in this year's quest for TEAM success. -South defense last year was stronger then it had been in previous years before. The defense played tough all year with the exception of three games. In regard's to North's "below average” offense. North Laurel's offense If you remember, was the same offense that happen to scored 28 point's in the defeat of Richmond team, that had not suffered a district loss since the 2001 season. I'm not saying that Holmes does not have any athlete's on their team, that's not the case because they do. The reason I do not give Holmes much credit is because of the way they played last year in the C.V.B. They were playing as individual's not as a team. Until they show up as a team, I do not see them doing much better.
  7. I know that Mercer and Corbin have indoor facilities. Who else also share's this plesure?
  8. Theres no way covington holmes will score even 14 point's against the cards. The QB will be running for his life all night. It's not going to happen. South:35 Covington homes: 6 North:20 JC:14
  9. For South Laurel: Lincoln Co (d) Mercer Co (d) Pulaski Co (d) Southwestern (d) North Laurel (region) Corbin (rivalry) lynn Camp E-Town Rockcastle
  10. I was up at the U.K. 7on7 camp last summer. Micha didn't look that bad off speed wise. Then again it's different when you put on the pad's and get after it. I'd say the Kentucky football staff will not have to big of a problem, getting his 40 time down. I still look for Johnson to be a force for Kentucky sooner then later.
  11. Logan Baker from South Laurel, he's really come into his own and will be a major valve to the heart of the offense at South this year.
  12. See you guy's in lexington. I definitally think the card's have what it takes to get to the final game if not win it all. South beat Lex. Catholic earlier in the season, but this will be a VERY though challenge to over come. GL CARDS BRING IT HOME
  13. Josh is good enough to play multiple sport's. He played football and basketball this year for the cardinal's and excelled. So I hope that he look's in to playing other sport's when he get's to the collegent leagues.
  14. This rule might be alright for the non-district games. Though when the district game's come and even the playoff's this rule will really be a blow to the team if the coach get's suspended. Give it to the power's that be to make a decision like this......It never fail's
  15. I doubt his passing game will be anything near what coach Irwin was running. There's a difference between passing the ball and being a passing offense. There's one thing for sure though, there will be a big change at South Laurel in the next few year's.
  16. What I am trying to say is the player's that go and test at these combines may run a 4.5 in short's and a t-shirt (combine times) and have really good times. But when they suit up in full gear (football time) the pad's slow them down and they do not run the same speed as they did. Though they may still be fast on the field, they do not show the speed they did at these combines. They are slower and those time's do not hold much water on a football field. Also you do not get a strait shot up the field as you do on a track you have to cut and maneuver this also slow's down the speed of the player(football time).
  17. Combine time and football time is a whole lot different. Some player's can run a 4.5 in short's and a t-shirt but only run like a 4.7 or 4.8 in full gear. Combine time doesn't hold much water when it comes to getting of the field for a game. Unless they get a strait shot up the field then you'r probley not going to see that 4.5 fourty time.
  18. I would hate to see South Laurel try to play Smash Mouth football with the little line we have this year. We wouldn't win a game
  19. South will win the 13th region, mark it down.
  20. What's every one's team's schedule for the 2006-2007 season.
  21. I don't remember him from last year's North-South game what number is he?
  22. South Laurel 1290 Avg students southwestern North Laurel Oldham Co. Bullitt Central Dixie Heights Grayson Co. Iroquois Barren Co. Whiltley Co. Woodford Co. Montgomery Co. Lincoln co. It would start up a few new rivalry's and add to a few others.
