  1. That is what makes St. X what it is ..... and so glad we chose it.
  2. Amen to that m Xman. However, there are always a few in every crowd that miss the whole picture. This is not about winning and losing. Sure, the win is always nice but the true picture is what these boys have gained throuout their years as part of great football programs, and being taught how to win with grace and class, as well as lose with dignity and class. That is what these few posters seem to have missed in their upbringing. How sad for them.
  3. There is a picture of Lt. Col. Kevin Meredith (I beleive hanging in the locker room ) in Iraq in full fatigues and weapon. He had painted on a wall "STRENGTH & HONOR" "TAKE STATE 2005" The picture was taken last summer. He is standing by the sign in all his military glory. It has been a theme for the team this year. It really brings you to your knees to see it and makes the whold war thing very real. His son Mason (Sr DB) knows his dad will be there in spirit and he will once again make his dad proud. :thumb:
  4. The "ha ha ha- you were wrong" routine has no place in this forum. Enjoy your win and your upcoming state game and don't bring up old information that no one is talking about currently (HC-THS). That is a bit childish, IMO.
  5. Tigers are very healthy and ready to go.
  6. I will be at Papa Johns rooting on my beloved St. X Tigers. What a great group of kids to cheer for - it should be a great game. GO TIGERS - TAKE STATE !!!!
  7. Have you REALLY sat through every practice ? I can understand every game, but sitting through all those practices would be rough - and very time consuming.
  8. That goes without saying.
  9. There was a gentlemen having real medical problems after the game in the parking lot last night. He was reportedly a St. X fan and I sure hope he is ok. Anyone know any news about this? I cannot get it off my mind.
  10. I second your nomination. And you forgot to mention- teriffic motivator, great role model, compassion and true lovefor his players.
  11. As a St. X fan. I was going to make an prediction on this game based on the way each team fared against us. After viewing this info, I really conclude HHS must have had an absolutely horrible night when playing us. So, I will not make a prediction, I'll just wait and see.
  12. Can anyone give me the simplest way to get to John Hardin. Also, are there any good eating/watering holes near the school or on the way?
  13. Excuse me? You better hope the John Hardin fans don't know where you live !!!!
  14. I thought exactly the same thing when I read the paper this morning, Old Corps. Nichols needs to realize he is that teams leader. He needs to take responsibility for what they don't accomplish, and change it. Every week Glaser talks about how much more work he needs to do to get his team ready for the next game. No laurel resting. It is not a snake, Nichols.
  15. Being usurped of their rightful spot does not have to be looked at as a lie - if you look at it that X is the team that has rights to the home field advantages, then they were usurped them. Even if it was Glaser's doing, they were still taken away. Pure semantics perhaps at their very best.
  16. "revenge" was never Glaser's word in the article. His word, in quotes is "redemption". What he means by this, for those who have not read it, is that we played bad last game vs. Manual, they "manhandled" us, and we now have a chance to redeem ourselves.
  17. I think Manual will take the early lead, but will "give out" near game's end. It will be a scare for us X fans, hoping that Jody's prediction is not correct. Close games are judged as good games after they're over and your team has won. This will be that kind of game, IMO.
  18. St. X is very healthy now - when we played Manual the first time we had 3 starters out injured. I think this is a big plus for the Tigers to have everyone back. St. X 28 Manual 10
  19. Amen to that - if the decision was truly Mike Glaser's, then I for one rely in his judgement as to why we are playing at Manual - he HAS been doing this coaching thing a long, long time and knows his stuff.
  20. Now that really sounds mature.
  21. I hear several T starters are sick. Will they play next Friday?
  22. I think Male's playoff experience will be the key that helps them bring home the win.
