The distance isn't the point. My map is based on the current setup, and makes more sense for EVERY team, not just robbing Peter to pay Paul. Why would the KHSAA change it? There's only one answer, and frankly it's kind of sad.

Going out in the state to compare to teams in Jefferson County shows just how bad the alignment is. The grouping is "ok" but the example I provide, based on the current setup, is clearly superior. Can anyone disagree with that?

I think Fern Creek is the best example: Three teams closer to them in their class than their closest district opponent. Can you show me any other team like that?

Sometimes teams further out in the state have to deal with far flung teams in their district that SOMEBODY has to play. That isn't the case for Jefferson County. You can't look at the current alignment and say, "I may not like it, but that's the best that can be done with these 12 teams."

So I take it that's a "no?"

What is Seneca doing playing PRP, when literally every school in Jefferson County, regardless of alignment, is closer to them? Why is Fern Creek in a district with Oldham County when Seneca and Southern are closer? For that matter, Fern Creek has three schools closer than their CLOSEST district opponent! Look past T and X. This doesn't make sense for teams in Louisville. The KHSAA really screwed this up and produced a broken district map in Jefferson County.

Tell me, which of these make sense? The new alignment? Or this one? This doesn't need to be an X-T issue. It's a common sense issue. The KHSAA had to really bend over backwards for this.

I think 6A must be really down for Manual to be #3. They were the third best team last season IMO, but I don't know that they will be this time around.

Nope. I think the kids might be less tough without more bang time, but whether you mean precise or well conditioned I think that you can get either without full contact practices through 7-on-7 and running respectively. And the games do start so much later than they used to.

Until Manual can clear the hump against X, the Big 4 talk is just annoying to everyone, including Crimson supporters. I think it depends on how you define 'compete.' Manual has been competitve (in games) with Male and Trinity lately, but the matchup with X has been killer. In terms of hardware, no one is competing with Trinity at the moment.

I disagree with all statements. HC has been the class of Lexington... but it's just not up to par with Louisville. 2007 & 2008, Manual was a better team.

She must have had a very good reason to transfer to play the same season. One of my best friends in high school transfered in from Assumption her senior year because she literally ran out of classes to take in that building, and she still wasn't allowed to compete athletically for Manual.

Your offense, whether you try to shorten the game or turn the throttle, isn't going to stop Trinity's offense. You have to be a three-phase team to beat Trinity.

Depends on matchups, obviously. For example, any given year Manual has a much better shot at beating Trinity than they do at beating X in the playoffs, even though I think Trinity's postseason record speaks for itself as to which is the better one-and-done club.

This greatly harms the credibility of their decisions.

5A is jacked. The placements of the Louisville districts is wrong, these make more sense: Manual, X, PRP, Butler Male, Senca, Southern, Fern Creek Trinity, Ballard, Eastern, Shelby Co. I mean, Campbell County playing Louisville schools is crazy, but I understand you need one more team in the west.

Louisville is its own area of the state... I think most people in Kentucky can agree on that.

I don't know who you hang with in the Ville, but I'd say most people from here see Louisville as a Midwestern city in a Southern state.
