Most controversial rankings besides 3A. Your thoughts?

 

1. The Elephant in the room, X-men #1, Rocks 2nd fiddle

 

2. Big three equal X, T, and........ Manual?

 

3. Highest NKY team = #13 Boone County... Lexington/CKY area place 5 in top 10?

Did Riverside put these rankings together? :laugh:

 

All in all, I couldn't see it set up any other way...I think Ballard will end the season higher.

Manual lost a lot of key players from last season. I'm not close enough to the team to know the personnel replacing those players but I'll be pleased if they can be as strong a team as last season.

 

I have great appreciation for what this type of ranking says about the program Nichols has made, I hope they can match those expectations, but I have serious doubts that they are the #3 team in 6A.

Look good to me. Just like last year, X is the team to beat. The All-American Duece, Wootus, Devonte, Lamont and Jay will form the best backfield X has had in a long time. Throw in Michigan recruits Foy and Hall and the mammoth Harvey, and one can easily see how X is #1.

 

Nice job BGP powers that be with the the rankings. I can't imagine ranking every team in the state.

I understand North Hardin has a new Coach, but can't figure how they are a top ten team yet. I know they have the talent to be.

I think 6A must be really down for Manual to be #3. They were the third best team last season IMO, but I don't know that they will be this time around.

C'mon, X will be honored just to be on the same field as Mr. Whiting and Philips. ( That's for you-three of a kind!) Know why we can't host the Olympics at St. X? We don't have any rings!! We only show up once every four years.

If people take a step back and remove their biases, a legitimate case can be made for St. X or Trinity being ranked number 1 this year.

 

For any of the voters, what was/were the factor(s) that gave X the top spot?

I was kind of surprised to see Marshall, Graves, and Madisonville all ranked in the bottom ten. Granted they are not top ten teams, but I'm not feeling much 6a love for West Kentucky.

I would have to agree with Scribe on this one. Until last year Henderson has owned WKY 4A/now6A for about 5 years. And even with some of their best teams ever in that stretch nothing ever came of it. WKY big schools just haven't proven anything out side of WKY. That past few years that Madisonville had been playing 3A what did they show? Marshall and Graves with one haven't been able to even win the region in recent history. Both were decent last year but I would guess neither will be as good this year.

True, there are not a lot of 6A fans in West Kentucky making hotel reservations in Louisville, but I would rank each about 8-10 spots higher then they are. With Marshall and Graves both loosing a lot of offense it could be rough years, but I think Madisonville will be the most improved of the three, especially if Levin stays healthy.

OK, I may be a little slow here, but exactly where can I find these rankings? I have looked all over BGP but can't seem to find them. Am I just having a senior moment here? :confused:
