  3. KHSAA handbook...pg 66 5) For the semi-state round (fourth round), the champion of region 1 will play the champion of Region 2 while the champion of Region 3 will play the champion of Region 4. The team representing the even-numbered Region shall host the games in even-numbered years, while the team representing the odd-numbered Region shall host the game in odd-numbered years.
  4. I am so surprised...You completely missed the point. Rankings have nothing to do with where the games are played, period. You are off topic, BTW.JC strength of schedule has nothing to do with the "New Playoff System is so bad", which is the thread topic.
  5. Ranked by whom??? JC is undefeated and a #1 seed. Any other ranking is absolutely subjective.
  6. Upset special wasn't so special. Don't underestimate Belfry.
  7. Middlesboro at Belfry will be broadcast on WXCC 96.5/Williamson and 98.1 in Pikeville also can be heard at http://www.wxccfm.com. What are the others???
  8. Since when has the KHSAA cared what the coaches cared???
  9. Go to KHSAA handbook...Football Finances are addressed on page 67.
  10. Done..................as soon as Jefferson County reimburses all the coal severance tax dollars back to the mountains. :thumb:
  11. This is a very dangerous game for Pikeville...look ahead and an upset is possible.
  12. Pikeville ----WPKE 103.1 The Mix on the web at http://www.wpke.com
  13. http://www.wxccfm.com is the link. coverage begins Fridays at 645p
  14. LIT ratings...a joke!
  15. Yes, it bothers me. Is it reason to can the coach? NO. I have reared three children and have never needed to curse to get their attention as some members have posted here. Do my children have virgin ears? No, but they should not be subjected to "sailor" language from a person in an authority position either. Coaches, while human, should be held to the same standards as classroom teachers who are also molding our children. What if it were...English teacher cursing...Does it bother you?? Most coaches also teach in the classroom, I imagine they are able to hold their tongue in the classroom, why not on the field??
  16. I guess all the class A schools east of the Winchester Wall and south of the Golden Triangle should go ahead and turn in their pads.
  17. I thought Frances was a she????
  18. Not the Pikeville teams I saw against Phelps and Jenkins.
  19. Your right. After further research, Mike Minix scored 252 points in 1960. I was thinking of a younger Mike Minix who played in the 80's...tremendous baseballer.
  20. Mike Minnix didn't play 40 years ago....it was more like the 80's
  21. 1 and 3/4 inches of rain has fallen in Pike County with a flood watch in effect thru midnite and rain expected throughout the evening. I have heard of no postponements.
  22. 1 and 3/4 inches of rain has fallen in Pikeville since early this morning, not quite as much toward Paintsville just a little over an inch. It still will be very sloppy....Anything could happen in this one on a very wet field.
