Good to see JC has the program heading in the right direction. Played well in a scrimmage...the key word is scrimmage, Doesn't mean anything...some coaches look at it as practice...to see how players handle game type situations...some coaches use it as a confidence builder and keep score and fans get way too excited on fan forums. It's a scrimmage...doesn't count in any record books....relax everyone, it's ten days til the regular season. Belfry and Johnson Central, Good Luck to you both!!!!

I believe Campbell is going on to play baseball in college. Pike Central will have a new QB this year...Quirvon Merchant...very athletic.

Coach J, I really like your proposal but I'm afraid it will never fly. Why??? Makes too much sense and doesn't benefit the KHSAA or basketball programs financially.

This move had nothing to do with the new administration. Coach May made the move as a positive change so he could be closer to home(and his children), to advance his career as an educator, and he will be assisting a friend(Bart Williams) at Pikeville. Why do some people want to bring politics into every move made in Pike County???

The problem with WVA and VA schools playing in the bowl is the early date of the bowl...neither WV or Va start their season that early.

Typically, Belfry is a team that does NOT play it's best football this early in the season. Belfry is known for slow starts. Therfore, I'll take NCC by 14.

The Henry Clay game is a result of last years two year contract in the Pike Co Bowl. Tough to get one year deal teams these days.

No one will suffer if PBurg keeps their nose clean....probation means nothing unless there is ANOTHER transgression.

I am not saying the info is false...just asking for a link or verification or at least, a source. The numbers I have seen have some schools in different classes than those listed here...I just think if the numbers aren't accurate or unverifiable, they could create issues. NO hostility here, I'm just asking that the figures be verified for the sake of accuracy. I really feel this thread should be closed unless/until there are VERIFIABLE figures listed. If these figures are innaccurate the whole thread is invalid, even though hypothetical.

In defense of WYMT, Estill County is really not in the mountains. Yes, I know the KHSAA somehow figured they(Estill) would fit in the same region with Letcher Central and Jenkins(schools on the Virginia border), but Estill County should not be in the 14th. Irvine is in central Kentucky. Last year they were in the 10th region, explain that.
