Maybe I wasn't clear in my question. This is not an enrollment argument on my part. The enrollment issue is a whole other can of worms. The level playing field I am referring to is that teams from different areas of the state can get to or not get to the state tournament based on a different set of rules determined by region or even district.

Since all KY basketball teams are playing for a chance to go to the Sweet Sixteen... Why don't they all play under the same set of rules come tournament time??? Isn't it time that the KHSAA: #1 Mandate seeding in ALL districts? #2 Mandate officials from outside "home" region? In football, all teams are seeded for the playoffs and the KHSAA assigns officials for ALL football playoff games. Why can't the playing field be leveled in basketball as well???

Has anyone substantiated the fact that Starns is no longer the coach??? All I have heard is hearsay...so and so told me. That doesn't get it....Now I am hearing that he is still the coach. Someone help us all out.

On Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at Shelby Valley High School, the 1982 Boy's Basketball State Semi-Finalist team from Virgie High School will be recognized. There will be a reception for all varsity and junior varsity members of the 1982team, and the cheerleaders from 1982. The reception will be held in the SV student center at 6:30. All members of the basketball team and the cheerleading squad, along with their families, are invited to celebrate our 25 year reunion. The team and cheerleaders will be recognized between the boy's junior varsity and varsity game between Pikeville High School and Shelby Valley at approximately 7:30 PM.

Whether Starns resigned or was fired, Who would want to coach at JC with it's recent history of revolving door coaches??? I would have to think many quality coaches would be skeptical of walking into that situation.

I don't believe the 323 of total offensive yards is a finals record.

Where are the officials from??? Sounds like they have been a factor.
