Does any have any info about this tourney at the East KY Expo on December 9th?

 

Here is graphic from the Expo website, but there is no information posted.

I know Louisville Central will be there as will Ballard East Ridge Madison Southern a team from North Carolina and a team from San Diego other than that I have no further info.

I hear Ballard will play a team from California ..... Is this first time a California team played in KY ???? wow !!!

No. The King of the Bluegrass has had at least one California team in it over the years. I remember Dorsey from Los Angeles playing there in the mid-90s.

Actually, Mater Dei played two games at Marshall that weekend ... they lost to Peoria Central, the Illinois state champions, and future NBA player Shawn Livingston.

For those of you that haven't seen basketball played in the Expo Center you should make a trek to Pikeville. Its not Rupp by any means, but pretty NICE.

On the KHSAA website there is a tournament being played on December 9th & it has some of the teams mentioned in it but it is not being played @ the Expo Center. It says it is being played @ East Ridge. Farm Bureau Warrior Classic

East Ridge - Madison Southern - 3:00 PM

Sheldon Clark - Belfry - 7:30 PM

Magoffin County - June Buchanan

Portsmouth Clay, OH - Pikeville

They are being played at the EXPO. I don't really know or understand that the connection with ER.

 

I think the games start around noon and last until about 8 PM or so.

They may have been there since 2000, but I saw Dorsey at the KOB in 1995 ...
