Does anyone have an update about the Hazard player that left the field in a ambulance. The docs on the sideline said it was a neck injury.

They are being played at the EXPO. I don't really know or understand that the connection with ER. I think the games start around noon and last until about 8 PM or so.

I only route against Belfry once a year too... How odd is that?

For those of you that haven't seen basketball played in the Expo Center you should make a trek to Pikeville. Its not Rupp by any means, but pretty NICE.

Does any have any info about this tourney at the East KY Expo on December 9th? Here is graphic from the Expo website, but there is no information posted.

It was a great game to watch... The Eagles really faught hard after the half.

I competely agree.. I just think its was a stupid mistake on the paper's part.

Wow... why can't it be a simple, non-thought out mistake by the business side of the paper as explained by TSH? Instead of a complex scheme to divide the community and Pikeville High School? Do you have any pictures of the other shooter on the grassy knoll that shot JFK?

The coach was furious because the kid didnt' have his tution paid when he was spouse too and had been praticing all summer. I don't buy that people go to Pikeville that live outside the city limits and dont' pay tution. I am know too many valuable Pikeville athletes past and presnt that have to pay. Its hard for some of test families to come up with the money. Untill I get names. No way....

If you live in the city limits and attend a county school by law you are spouse to report to Pike Co. BOE and pay tution. Because if you live in the city your school tax from your property tax goes to Pikeville Independent. Now, if people do it or not is a differnt story.

I find that very hard to believe. I know several people that have been pulled out of classes because thier parents haven't paid thier tution bills.

My point is Pikeville Independent is not a private school.

As I understand it….. The public/private debate doesn’t' apply to Pikeville. Pikeville is a public school district for the students living inside its district lines. There is no selection or application process to see if you can attend school there. If you live inside the city limits it’s your school district. You only have to pay tuition if you live outside of that district bounds. The reason for this is that money from your property taxes doesn’t go to this school. For instance if you live in Betsy Layne and choose to send your son to Pikeville, you must pay tuition because your school property tax is being paid to Floyd County Schools and not Pikeville Independent. A private school is a school that has a selection application process. One you can choose to attend or not attend. A student is not required to attend school there. For instance, a private school in Eastern Kentucky is the Piarist School. Parents choose to send their children there and choose to pay tuition. This school receives no school tax money from any source.

I think this is one of the reason's why Belfry's field is nicer. Pikeville's multi-use facility takes away from the football "stadium" effect that you get at Belfry.

I have been to Letcher County Stadium, it will be a top notch facility. I am not really sure why they are putting a jumbotron in, but hey, someone must have some money to spend. But, I think a feild like Putnam in Ashland has a differnt type of coolness to it. Its the same concept of a classic gym compared to a new one.....
