I tried to do a search for WLRP 101.5 out of Richmond to see if they have an internet broadcast, but I did not find it. Do you have any additional information on this? I would like to listen to the games on the internet if possible. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Well they have all left to get ready for the tourney. I do not know what that means since it is in the same town, but nevertheless I was directed to another person and I had to leave a voice mail so maybe they will respond and I will pass the information if/when I get it.

The KHSAA respond in a timely manner?:dancingpa

In Mike Fields' Friday column, it said that Gary Ball was calling all of the games.

I don't think that station has a net broadcast.

That's typical KHSAA. Most of the times in the past that I have called there needing to talk to one of the commissioners, I was usually directed to voice mail, and seldom had my calls returned. I guess they're a busy bunch.

They probably are. But the basketball games were all on http://www.khsaa.net so I would imagine they would have the baseball games on there as well.

Now you've done it again, forced me to defend the KHSAA, a position I generally disfavor:banana:. Actually I don't mind defending the staff at all, since from my experience the staff is very professional and diligent.

You can't imagine the number of calls the KHSAA must get from media, coaches, principals, supers and "worst of all" (tongue firmly planted in cheek) parents and fans. If they took every call as it came in, the staff would never get anything accomplished. They are undermanned (budget limitations) to begin with and add to that this is a very busy time of the year in high school sports. They just got finished with track, tennis and softball championships. They are getting ready for baseball and I think golf championships. They don't sit on their hands from what I know. Plus they have spent a large amount of time dealing with the prop 20 and compromise proposals. They also are dealing with the reclassification of football issue. All these things take a whole lot of time.

As to the budget limitations, without raising ticket prices again for the championship events or membership dues, they will continually be forced to do the most with the least. All costs are rising, particularly the catastrophic insurance plan (Ky provides the cadillac of coverage for our kids and is to be commended for it, but it is extremely expensive). Legal fees also take up a large amount of cash (due in large part, in my opinion, to bad decisions of the KHSAA BOC, not the staff). Also increased investigation costs (and everyone has been clamoring for the KHSAA to do a better job investigating alleged violations) is eating up more and more dollars.

When I want info instead of asking for one of the asst commissioners or the commissioner, I generally ask for their secretary, whom usually has the info I would like to get for what its worth.

98.3 is carrying the Boyd Co. game thursday night in the Ashland area.

Well a friend of mine has told me that the local station here in Owensboro is picking up the Daviess Co game. It is 94.7 WBIO and they are picking up the feed from another station. After hearing this, I then seen it in the newspaper, that yes they were covering it. I have not been able to determine if an internet feed is available from anyone, but i do know that the 94.7 broadcast is not going to be on the internet so just local coverage is available.
