Male does not have a Michael Bush, so again, X will defeat Male in the same fashion as last year. Better athletes doesn't always equal a win. Look at X and T, you can't tell me they've had better athletes than the public schools. Besides talent, you need discipline, heart, knowledge of the game and last but not least, a Head Coach like Beatty. Last I checked, T has a few RB who are not sophmores (transfers - what's up with that) who will run over people.

I wonder if the Big 3 in Louisville will be invited to this event in 2007?

Yes, both t's 05' running backs graduated and the new running backs will do just fine behind a larger O line. IMO - there is more speed at the WR spot than last year, the Duttons can run with the best of them (7 on 7 proved it). GO ROCKS.....

I would think every year, most schools do return more starters than X and T. Male probably has 3-5 kids who are seniors who have started since their sophmore year. Where's the respect? Doesn't matter, I would much rather be ranked #1 at the end of the season than the beginning.

According to an email received this morning, BGP ranks Male # 1. Not sure how this can be justified, but it is what it is. Not sure why Trinity was ranked 15th, but CONGRATS goes to the Trinity coaches and school for being recoginized. Good luck this season Rocks....

If I'm not mistaken, they are usually after lifting in the am. These 7 o 7's should be interesting to watch Cov go against Bean.

Atherton gave the rocks a scare in the first inning, but it was all over after the rocks starting to bat. I hope Rice recovers from being hit in the mouth. Tonights game will be a packed house. Eastern overlooked Ballard in every phase. Coach Gilbert coach a great game and should give the tigers everything they want. Ballard should win tonight.

After reading 5 pages of posts, some people think Louisville teams are getting the short end of the stick and the non-Louisville teams have a better chance of making it to the dance. This resembles how Frankfort treats Louisville on tax dollars, doesn't it? Sense this is the general consensus, we should move forward and prepare for a long season. One thing will be for sure, the non-Louisville teams will be embarrassed in the state final in 4A .

Congrats to Coach Coverdale. I don't think any of next years players had a chance to play or really know Coverdale. They are in for a treat. Again, welcome back Coach.........

Baldini started for Eastern, replaced by Jordon (I think is his name) and Graven pitched for Trinity. Can't wait to see both of these teams battle it out on the road to Applebee's. I'm sure Rice will battle Chowning when they meet again.

Not a perfect game by the Rocks, but a win is a win. Pippin should get the game ball for chasing down the long fly. Good job Coach Tompkins for keeping the kids focused.

Rocks won 13-1 behind the pitching of Braxton Graven. Redmon pitched for Lex Cath up to the 4th inning. Rocks had 13 hits to Lex Cath 4 hits. Lex Cath walked 6 batters with 1 error. Graven went 2-3, E Holland 2-4, B Baker 2-2, E Koeberlein 2-3, Wise 2-4. Lex Cath mainly played Jr's.

I thought the public vs private debate was bascially all about football, but to look at the top 6 teams, 4 are private. Any of those top 10 teams could beat each other on any given day. It's all going to come down to who is hot in May and June.
