Belfry Wins

Guys dont put nothing into Belfrys performance. Belfry for one basicaly tries stuff and played it as a scrimage and nothing else but a practice. Belfry has some good size on the O line and and alot of speed on the d line. It was a simple practice and get into action for them. JC will have a good team as always. But we must remember that JC wins this scrimage every year including the 2 state chapionship years.

Yeah I said during the first half it will have an affect on him. And it will both teams with any players playing a new position for atleast a couple plays. But the qb position is the tuffest to break into. Belfry will have to deal with the same thing though but ours did start out the season starting last year so it might make it a little bit easier on him. This is going to be an exciting game. Belfry defintley has their hands full and everyone I have talked to respects NCC alot and is excited about the game.

Belfry has a pretty good kicker hsi nick name is Hoss and I cant think of his real name as we speak. He is improved from what I hear though and he done a very good job last year. Our pinter graduated so Im not for sure about punting duties but Im sure theyw ill have someone to step up and do the job.

Belfrys crowd does have a repuatation of being loud. I remember going to Florence mall when we play Loyd in the playoffs and people was stopping me and my family and asking them if it was true if our whole community came to a game. They was even peopkle that said they was going to the game just to see our crowd. I was very impressed with that. But beyond crowd whoever runs and makes less mistakes is going to win this game. Belfrys pass defense just might be better than normal this year they return alot in the secondary. Vicars will be tuff to stop though hes an excellent back. One thing Belfry might have going for them is from what I can see and hear this years D Line is going to be pretty quick.

Another thing to put in with the crowd is NCC has a new qb. NCC has defintley played int he big game but the qb will defintley have jitters especialy in the first half. And a wild crowd like Belfry does have wont make that easier for him. Belfry plays in tuff places all the time just like NCC does but it doesnt mean that the crowd still dont affect you some. It won win or loose a ball game but it is an advantage to Belfry.

I agree first time I had been in a while and it was only cause my gf wanted to go. It is to late in the year for a bowl game also alot of the kids are out of shape by now and everything. But on the bright side it was to see pads popping again football is here now so Im happy about that.

WV one by like 12 I think. They started out in the first half up 24 to 0. KY just couldnt do nothing on the lines and all the two teams wanted to do was fight as usual. They actualy called the game in the 4th quarter because of it. I know Belfry was well represented by Matt Maynard I think he had 2 or 3 touchdowns. Defense was poor by KY all around though they just couldnt tackle at all.

I never said they would physicaly manhandle them I just said Id give them the nod in the strength department. Because Belfry will line up run at you run at you and do it some more. That will take toll on a team in the first game of the season and by 3rd and 4th quarter their strength has gone down alot cause of fatigue. Not to many teams will line up and whip Belfry with their strength. I see this being a good well matched game but knowing what Belfry has returning and knowing what I saw from NCC last year which was very impressive. I will give Belfry a slight edge in the strength and NCC the edge on speed. But Belfry will be quicker this year especialy on the line.

I know your trying to be neutral as you should be but dont you agree that Belfry pretty much outmuscled Pikeville the same way that NCC did? I mean Pikeville had a huge weakness last year which they have worked hard on during the offseason and that is strength. The bigger better teams simply ran them over and that is including Belfry and NCC.

Hated to hear about the news good luck and speedy recovery. One thing about this game from the Pikevilel game last year. 2 things NCC killed Pikeville on was speed and strength. Belfry also beat Pikeville on those two things. NCC was quick but they had mor sucess runnign over Pikeville and also had the advantage of a new coach and new system and they hadnt adjusted at all. NCC will ahve the speed advantage but Belfry wont be horiably slow or anything but Ill give NCC the advantage there. Belfry however will own the strength advantage I think The huge advantage I see is the fact of playing at Belfry its never easy. You can guarantee the stadium will be packed out and full of excitement. I am really excited about this fame and feel it is going to be great for the first week of football and will benifit both teams in the future.

I had just mad ea guess honestly. I really had no idea to what either team was bringing back.

Russell will be # 1 they won it last year and you should start season at the top. They will also be pretty good on top of that. Belfry is a solid 2 and them and Rusell will be another great game if they meet up. Then Id put O'Cath at 3 but I defintley think the 2 best teams will be from the East this year in Belfry and Russell.

Belfry will be very good. We have a some tuff spots to fill but we will be good. Tuffest spot will be our speed back with Matt Maynard graduating. But from what I hear Dustin May is improved alot and that is very good news along with Corey Chapman we will have a good backfeild. They say the qb position is looking good a battle between 2 and I seen Ryan Preston yesterday and he has grown and is solid muscle. Our line wont be huge but they will be strong tuff and quick which I feel is a good combination. I personally think we will be better than last year. I think Belfry and NCC will be a good game. Last year NCC just knocked Pikeville off the line of scrimage every play. That wont happen against Belfry. Also Belfry can match NCC speed better than Pikeville did but I still give NCC the hand on speed but Belfry the upperhand in strenght. Another factor to add is Pikeville crowd wasnt really large or anything but with Belfryfans you can guarantee it packed out.

Are they starting that this year? I wasnt for sure. But still my Regional Championship will be Middlesboro at Belfry. Middlesboro will be good but they would loose the battle of the line and cause them to loose the game. Belfry will have a quick line this year. But Middlesboro impressed me last year to be so young.

Also here is my break down of the districts playoff spots but some are just a guess. 1. Middlesboro.(got good talent back will be good) 2. Breathitt (I just cant doubt the coach for 2 years) 3. Leslie (them and Breathitt will be close) 4.KCC (dethrone Cawood and earn a trip to Belfry 1. Belfry (best until beaten 2. SC (good but have to replace a great line. 3. Pburg (will get better) 4. SV (Will be a battle for this spot but I think Valley will open playoffs in Middlesboro)

Also if you have 3 games a night just imagine how late those last games, the main ones would be starting. I like having the local teams play each other. Only thing I dont like about it is having a district game that early because a playoff spot is often on the line first game of season and that is way to early.

I think Belfry is kind of like last year. The region was just down and Belfry was up. Belfry will be better than last year and has homefield thoroughout if they win the district. Middlesboro vs Belfry will be regional championship game. And Belfry will move on and host Russell once again.

I dont buy nothing into that. People will start anything. They also said he was going to Pikeville College and every year they say hes retiring. He may go who knows, but this stage in his career I see him staying and retiring at Belfry. I mean they love him at Belfry and honestly Ironton isnt going to be happy with anyone. He is smarter than that.

AC will be tuff also they have that pitcher who is a just a sophmore and is really good. I dunno what Pikeville is bringing back but they will be solid Im sure. Paintsville and JC was both very young this year. And you better watch out for Belfry they will be a tuff team. If their pitching improves then they better be watched out for. And next year they will still ahve a young team.

I like Wie and shes a good golfer but I still dont agree with it. I think Tiger should be allowed to play in the LPGA if he qualifies if she can qualify for the PGA. It would be about like a WNBA player wanting to play in the NBA. And I agree witht eh above post she hasnt even won on the LPGA yet so why compete with the men? Shes a great golfer and her time will come but I still say shes 1 to 2 years away from winning.

I respect him and respect Ironton more than any team Ive ever played against. They were always nice people and I loved playing them. One thing I liked about his teams if you beat them you was the better team because they NEVER made mistakes. They werent as big and powerful as say Trinity or X but they were more sound and mistake free than any other team Ive ever seen. They simply just executed very well. What a great coach.

What is the price range for this? I have been thinking about taking some extra cash and doing this. Because it is defintley very helpful.

The impressive thing is Chapman wasnt playing for Belfry. Which they will have to get use to winning with out him Im afraid. He has an injured elbow.

I guess I just like the feel of Commonwealth better. But I will agree Papa Johns has a beautiful newer stadium. I guess to me were its a complete bowl now and has the large upper level I just like it better. But were not selling out games in state championship so we dont have to worry about that. I just personaly like Uk's stadium better for some odd reason and its not cause UK players there I just love the stadium but I do def think Papa Johns is better suited for the state championship games and we have it at the right place.

Belfry and Sheldon Clark also I would throw them 2 in the mix for a solid top 7. Belfry played AC to one run without our best player even there and 2 other players gone due to a funeral. So Belfry has proved they can definetly play with the big guys especialy with Chapman and West pitching. Also SC is a very dangerous team. Also for Belfry they was up 2 to 1 on JC when the game got rained out but it was just starting bottom of the second but you could tell it was going to be a good game.
