Coach Dinky Phipps Retiring From Barbourville Independent
I've always thought, no. There are, of course, a lot of rumors floating around and in some articles quoting him he's a little vague on the future.

Knox Central Basketball Coach Resigns
Played at KC and East Tenn State, and a couple of years professionally overseas. Coaching experience other than as an assistant last season is limited to the elementary school level. Has been named as interim coach for the summer schedule. Tryout maybe?

Knox Central Basketball Coach Resigns
I've not been able to find official confirmation yet, but very good sources have stated that James Voight has resigned.

High risk, high reward.

Knox Central 2015
So I've been told along with some others from last year's schedule.

Knox Central 2015
It is what it is. Games are getting really hard to come by. My understanding is we were turned down by most of the area 5A schools. What's worse is that for several years now, we've only played 3 home games. Hardly worth the field maintenance.

I enjoy the Pigskin. Usually good competition.

Tom Larkey named head coach of Perry Central
Oops, just noticed Harlan Co. hired Eddie Creech on the 5th. Ehh, close enough.

Tom Larkey named head coach of Perry Central
Pretty cool that he replaced Harlan Co. faster than they could replace him.

Tom Larkey is out at Harlan County (Updated Title)
I'm sure I'm not the only Knox Central fan feeling a bit nervous at this development.

Tom Larkey is out at Harlan County (Updated Title)
An educated guess would be a population decline of at least 20% over the past decade. Most don't realize what a tremendous parade of sports personalities and athletes Harlan County has produced over the years. Most notably, Cawood Ledford, Wah Jones, Bernie Bickerstaff, Ray Massey and Charles Thomas just to name a few. I hope this is not the way it ends for Coach Larkey. Fine coach and gentleman.

KY - TN Border Bowl
It's a 50 man roster. I have no idea if it has happened, but if a kid or 2 was added just as a favor, I can't really say I have a problem with it.

Ending Of Boyle County/Whitley County Game

Belfry or Johnson Central: What program is more successful the last 10 years
Let me try. Would I rather have 5 straight finals appearances including a championship or would I rather have 5 wins over Belfry? I think I would much happier with the former.

Have I seen this discussion before? Nah, probably not.

Williamsburg 34 Raceland 8
I'm not much of a Williamsburg fan but it is nice to have someone from this end of the state win something.

Boyle County 44 Knox Central 13
Boyle brought a good crowd last night and I met some nice people. Even the two guys up top shaking the rock jugs weren't too annoying.:lol2:

Boyle County 44 Knox Central 13
Thanks. I just wanted to put that to rest before it became one of those urban legends that gets talked about every year.

Boyle County 44 Knox Central 13
Any Rebel fans here who were at the game? Any complaints about field conditions?
-
Boyle County 44 Knox Central 13
I never like seeing my team lose but I think any football fan enjoys watching a team as well coached and fundamentaly sound as Boyle Co. They are an elite team. Congratulations.

Boyle County/Knox Central Predictions
I had the opportunity to check the field today and it's actually much better than I thought. Only bare spot seems to be right at midfield, the rest is almost normal. If it were my call, that's where we'll play. (subject to change with the weather, normal rain won't hurt much. Down pours are different.)

Boyle County/Knox Central Predictions
Because it's home and Union would be more of a neutral site. Sure it's close, but it's a strange field, strange locker room etc. So far it's not rained this week.
