NL sacked somewhere. Its 4th and something with 1:11 to go. Sorry, lol.
-
Absolutely cannot follow these radio guys. NL has the 1st down somewhere around midfield with 2:02 to go.
-
Pass completed for enough for the first down but fumbles it backwards. Panthers recover but NL takes over on downs.
-
Panthers keeping it on the ground and chewing up clock but now face a 4th and 11 on the NL 33 with just over 3 minutes to go.
-
Wet field, lots of flags and two good defenses. NL finally threatens but a Panther interception in the endzone preserves the lead for now.
-
KC 7 NL 3 after 3 qtrs.

James Voight (III) Hired as Knox Central Head Coach

Thanks for the help but I'm not sure that's correct. I read something about a grandfather also named Jimmy who coached. James Voight III may prove to be more accurate. -
Knox Central Head Coaching Job
Hasbeen replied to JokersWild24's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
OK, here's what I've determined. Jimmy Voight is the new coach at Pulaski County and was the subject of the article I posted earlier. His son James is the new HC at Knox Central and was, as Jokerswild said, coach of the New Mexico 2A State Champions last season. -

Beats me. Well traveled. May have coached Whitley County at one time. Hopefully someone will fill in the blanks for us soon. -
Knox Central Head Coaching Job
Hasbeen replied to JokersWild24's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Odd, but my source said he was from Pulaski County area. I found an online article about a new coach that PC hired in May. Surely he wouldn't leave for the KC job this quickly. Appears to be highly qualified. Jimmy Voight named Pulaski basketball coach » News Live » Commonwealth Journal -
Knox Central Head Coaching Job

I don't follow H.S. basketball much so I'm not familiar with the name, but a very reliable source just told me they've hired a coach named Voight? Sound familiar? -
What schools could be forced to change their name?
Hasbeen replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
.....or Planned Parenthood. -
OK, I'll withdraw the adjective "courageous" and replace it with "fine". I just thought that with all the grumbling I'd been hearing from some of Corbin's fans, it would have been tempting for Coach Jewell to try to schedule some bunnies to improve the ol' win column.k
-
My gripe was always Corbin's weak district. However, the last redistricting has more than solved that issue.
-
I don't think I can agree with your rankings but it doesn't matter. The good news is that most of this will work itself out on the field head to head with the exception of Williamsburg.
-
Danville is always tough. While I'm not sure what they bring to the table this season, both Perry Central and Southwestern are 5A and are capable of some pretty good seasons. Combine those with KC and a district schedule that includes Bell and Wayne, I'd call that a competitive schedule.
-
Coach Jewell certainly isn't trying to boost his win total by scheduling lightly, is he? I applaud his courage. You mentioned replacing both Jewells. I don't recall either being a senior.
-
Fine job as usual, Les. This is a fun schedule. After game 2, it's just one rivalry game after another. The return of old rivals Bell, Whitley, Corbin, and Southwestern added to Harlan Co. and the district games guarantee an exciting season. High risk, high reward. No question that the Panthers will be battle tested come playoff time.

LaRue County vs. Bell County Predictions

There's no magic on Log Mountain, just a good football team that resides there. I'll go with Bell one more game. -
Kentucky Class 4A Football Rankings 1. Highlands vs. Boyd County 2. Covington Catholic vs. Rowan County (11/3) 3. Lexington Catholic vs. Rockcastle County 4. Boyle County vs. Clay County 5. Russell County vs. Marion County 6. Ashland vs. Holmes 7. Knox Central vs. Mercer County 8. Johnson Central vs. Harrison County 9. Lone Oak vs. Franklin-Simpson 10. Warren East vs. Calloway County In fact, according to your latest rankings, KC would be your last choice for regional champ. While I appreciate the vote of confidence, it is puzzling.
