An educated guess would be a population decline of at least 20% over the past decade. Most don't realize what a tremendous parade of sports personalities and athletes Harlan County has produced over the years. Most notably, Cawood Ledford, Wah Jones, Bernie Bickerstaff, Ray Massey and Charles Thomas just to name a few. I hope this is not the way it ends for Coach Larkey. Fine coach and gentleman.

I often wonder how things would be viewed if UK had lost their semi-final game against Duke. I wonder if the championship game would have had the same historical significance and would Duke have been vilified as UK has.

That's my point. The problem is not with organized religion but with the way man has corrupted it for their own benefit. Organized religion is actually a wonderful thing.

And I loathe all organized religion being lumped together with the fringe groups and evil who use religion as a justification for that which they know is against Gods teachings.

I never post on Facebook but I do check it frequently to see what certain friends and relatives are up to. (not fair, I know. sue me) Anyway, my complaint is that you see posts from people who are friends of friends. You know, goofy drama queens airing out the dirty laundry or complaining how unfair life is. Saw this little gem a couple weeks ago by some gal who apparently thought she was being judged by others. "YOU SHOULDN'T THROW STONES AT A GLASS HOUSE IF YOU DONT LIVE IN ONE YOURSELF" Say what??

I started jury duty today. I consider myself fair and impartial. Therefore, having seen no evidence other than that photo, I believe I can confidently vote GUILTY. If he hasn't done it yet, he's about to.

It's a 50 man roster. I have no idea if it has happened, but if a kid or 2 was added just as a favor, I can't really say I have a problem with it.

He looks better than me but I think I have a better personality.

I have to have a rooting interest to watch any game, any sport. I never watch h.s. basketball regardless.

Let me try. Would I rather have 5 straight finals appearances including a championship or would I rather have 5 wins over Belfry? I think I would much happier with the former.

I'm not much of a Williamsburg fan but it is nice to have someone from this end of the state win something.
