  1. Wayne scores with 6:56 left in the 3rd. Wayne Co.14 Knox Central 14
  2. Technical difficulties with the radio feed. Somehow Wayne Co. scored with 25 seconds left in the half and now trail 14-7 at halftime.
  3. @Theendzone tweeted this was a 90 yard pass to Donovan Arther. Radio guys may have gotten it wrong. Either way, KC leads 14-0.
  4. Panthers fumble a punt giving the ball to Wayne Co. at the KC 15. Central dodges a bullet as the defense holds and Wayne misses the field goal. Panthers take over and immediately complete a Stewart to Carton pass good for 80+ yards a touchdown. 7:21 left in the half. Knox Central 14 Wayne Co. 0.
  5. With 11 minutes to go in the first half, Knox Central's Jermel Carton scores on a 27 yard run. KC 7 Wayne Co. 0.
  6. 43-0 at the half. Time to call off the dogs and coast home.
  7. 21-0 You get the idea how this one's going. I'll post a score at the half.
  8. Takes 5 plays on the 2nd drive. KC 14. CC 0.
  9. Panthers score on the 4th play to open the game. KC 7. Clay 0
  10. ...to the artificial surface at Union College. Too much rain and soccer this week. Game time remains the same.
  11. Knox Central played a brutal early schedule. Now, playing against 4A competition, we'll see how it benefited them. Also, remember this is a very young Panther team. I expect week by week improvement.
  12. Panthers scored 35 in the 2nd quarter before playing the reserves in the 2nd half.
  13. Knox Central scores on the opening drive of the half. 41-0. A very young Knox Central team getting even younger as Coach Russell is subbing liberally now. Lots of clean white jerseys in the game now.
  14. Stewart to Robinson for the TD. KC leads 35-0. Roughing the kicker penalty on the xp accessed on the kickoff.
  15. KC intercepts and has a 1st down at the Russell Co. 16 with 24 seconds to go.
  16. Knox Central leads 28-0 with 40 seconds left in the first half.
  17. Knox Central has a wealth of very young talent attempting to grow up and develop against a brutal schedule. No result, be it a blowout loss or an upset win will surprise me until the coaching staff completes the process of blending in the best newcomers with the more experienced starters and everyone learns their roles. I will say that the heart shown in coming from behind last night leads me to believe this team will be ready by district time regardless of how the pre-district schedule plays out.
  18. I like Tony and wish him well. I just feel that this is a good enough job to have hired a proven winner. Regardless, good luck Tony. I hope you prove us all wrong.
  19. Nothing the Knox County administration does surprises me anymore. Especially personnel issues. With the group in power at this time, sometimes you just have to wait until all the pieces fall into place to understand the deals that have been made. A coaching job, a teacher, maybe a janitor or bus driver position, all can be used to sweeten a bigger deal.
  20. I agree with Coach4. Nothing official, just a gut feeling I've had since last Spring, I believe this summer was a tryout for Patterson.
