  1. Male is an average football team at best. They lost to the worst Manual team in 10 years 2 weeks ago. That exhillarating 21-0 shutout victory over 2A Louisville Christian Academy did nothing to change my view of the Bulldogs. Lafayette 35-14
  2. No more than Highlands was exposed in a 35-21 win over Cov Cath.
  3. Warren Central rolls 60-12. Hoptown is the kind of team the Dragons offense will feast on.
  4. What hoops do they have to jump through?
  5. The outcome may have been worse for Cov Cath. I'll never understand why a Cov Cath program that is having just their 3rd winning season in 6 years is placed on a pedestal just below Highlands yet above all other programs in NKY.
  6. Won games in the state finals...sure. But you act as it was a dominant outing. Boyle squeaked by Lone oak in '09 and squeaked by ACS in '10. While the Highlands score wasn't competitive at the end, it's not like they ran the clock on FS in '11.
  7. Past history has shown that whoever comes out of the West has a good chance to beat any one out of the East not named Highlands. Lone Oak and Allen Co Scottsville come to mind. Heck Franklin Simpson ran all over the vaunted Highlands defense in the finals last year. This year I'd take Warren East, Lone Oak, or Collins to beat anyone out of the East not named Highlands.
  8. Other than Highlands, I will disagree completly.
  9. Exactly what I was thinking. A Cov Cath team that is having just their 3rd winning season in 6 years, gets beat by 5A Conner, yet 4A in the East is considered strong. Not NKY, but the vaunted Johnsons from Johnsonville lost to a 3A Belfry team at home last night as well. Highlands is Highlands, but the rest in 4A east are just a shade above average in spite of perception.
  10. Bolin is out, but their sophmore QB is going to be a special player. Big arm and very athletic.
  11. Did any of them lose to T,X, or Scott Co. last night?
  12. Warren east or Collins would be my guess.
  13. Exactly....In 2005 BG lost 13-7 to St X. That same year St X beat Highlands with a running clock.
  14. The past 8 years BG has played X 4 times, T 4 times, Lexcath 3 times and Highlands once. In 2013-14 BG will play Lex Cath, X, & Brentwood Academy, TN.
  15. Louisville public school football is vastly overrated, Male especially. Both Lafayette and Madison Central win easily.
  16. Lafayette does not play Manual. They play Male.
  17. Good story. But I don't know what is worse...If you are Dunbar the fact that the mascot is now your starting QB or if you're Henry Clay you got beat by a team whose QB was the team mascot a month ago. Only in Lexington. :isurrender:
  18. I will agree with this. So Henderson had 4 posessions against BG. 1 resulted in a turnover. 1 resulted in a TD 1 resulted in a punt that BG returned for TD 1 ended at midfield and the game was called with BG up 21-7. Maybe you are right.
  19. What most rankings don't know is that WE is loaded with seniors and has one of the top players (if not the top player) in the class of 2015. Like I said, people will find out soon enough. I also agree it is comical that Lone Oak is ranked ahead of Owensboro or Warren East. Add to East Raiders comments that Lone Oak was absolutely destroyed by a medicore Paducah Tilghman team.
  20. In 2011, BG was only ahead of Henderson 20-7 at the half and the Henderson offense had similar success in the first half. That game ended up 55-7. Henderson is probably a top 10 team offensively when they don't turn it over. But their defense and special teams are not top 10 calibar.
