When the bodies of work are similar like these two then head to head has to rule at the end of the day.

I guess you could say they are similar due to their records being one win apart. If you take into account Conner won games in the last minutes over Ryle, Scott and Campbell County while Cooper handled those teams with ease, then I don't think they are as close.

Conner had their best game at home, against their biggest rival, on Homecoming night after coming off a loss to this rival the previous year. Conner definately earned the win that night but overall Cooper has been more impressive.

Conner proved without question they were/are the better team. Not even close. If not for a couple Conner turnovers, the score would have been much worse. This game proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that Conner is far superior to Cooper when they are at or near full strength. Btw, it's the only game all season when Conner has had their entire lineup intact (still, McKeehan was out). Take Collins out of Coopers lineup and see what would happen.

Conner is scary good when they are full strength. Just hasn't happened all year with the exception of the Cooper game.

If not for this and if it wasn't for that. Hebron is full of, what if and should coulda wouldas. You have an excuse for everything. Cooper fans could very easily say if it wasn't played at Conner, or if we were at full health, but you see none of that. There is always a reason for Conner's woes. To compare apples to apples look what happens when you take Fogle out of the line up for Conner they COULD have lost to Scott. See everyone can do it. Conner did beat Cooper on one night, but as for common opponents Cooper has the better resume. At the end of the day you can debate this all you want but by Friday night everyone will be placed and seeded and Conner fans will still be saying what if, and we should of.

So I should go back to the 4A thread and say Boyle County is the #3 team in 4A even though LexCath beat them head to head? The same argument for Cooper can be made for Boyle.

You have to admit, things have changed with LexCath. They may not be the team they were when Boyle County played them.

They won't be. But Boyle County has arguably played a tougher schedule than LexCath and has beaten common opponents better than LexCath did AND when Boyle lost to LexCath not only did Boyle gift wrap that game to LexCath it was at LexCath. Isn't that kind of similar to what Cooper fans are saying about Conner?

OK, are you arguing that Boyle County should, or should not, be ranked above LexCath? I thought you were being sarcastic about going to the 4A thread and arguing that Boyle should be ranked above LexCath.
