  1. Does the Top 10 represent roughly 30% of the entire class? -CF
  2. Would love to see the Shamrocks win not only to see Moeller lose, but it would also boost Colerain's L2 Harbin points but reality tells me that this Moeller team doesn't want to enter the post-season losing two in a row. The Crusaders are big, strong and their QB is a dual-QB threat that will account for more yards than Bonnafon. Look for the Men of Moeller to bring a W back to the Queen City. -CardinalsFan
  3. IF the Tigers can score 3 TD's and can pressure the passer at all, they should win fairly easily. St. Xavier (OH), with their win this past weekend over St. Ignatius (Cleveland) has all but locked up a playoff spot. It is not a guarantee, but a pretty solid bet. -CardinalsFan
  4. Not according to National Rivals Analyst Dallas Jackson and his network of experts. National Rivals Rankings - Oct. 28 -CardinalsFan
  5. Congratulations to the Crimsons on the big win against Male. 6A will be an absolute blast to follow this year! -CardinalsFan
  6. Congrats to Highlands on the good showing at the Pit. Tough to beat the Panthers any year but doing it on Senior night is especially difficult. Biggest question yet to be answered: How much was the split the pot worth? :thumb: -CardinalsFan
  7. There is no way to watch it after the fact. Unlike WeAreColerain.com (shameless plug), they do not archive their games. You either watch it live or not at all. -CardinalsFan
  8. The game will be live on the internet, but not on TV. EHSPORTS.COM - Cincinnati Elder High School - Elder Panthers -CardinalsFan
  9. Couldn't agree more oldguy. "The Pit" is an amazing place to watch a game. Believe it or not, Colerain has only played their once in our history. It is a series I would love to see us sign up for on a consistent basis. But I digress. I fully expect Highlands to win this game. Elder QB Jacob(?) Ramsey (yep, the Coach's son) is only a sophomore but has progressed nicely as the season has moved along. The offense still runs through the big RB Chris Schorr (sp?). I think the line play for the Bluebirds WILL be key and their secondary will be tested both in the passing game as well as in run support. Offensively, I think Highlands will mostly have their way. I don't get this Elder team is anything special defensively but even an average to above-average Elder team can be a real headache for any offense. Wish I could be there to see it. If you can get a ticket and go...DO SO! You won't regret it. -CardinalsFan
  10. And just out of curiosity, how badly do you think Highlands will beat Elder this year? -CF
  11. Wrong. Elder is not a good team. They have played two good teams (St. Ed and Moeller) and got spanked in both. Depending on matchups, they could be one and done come playoff time. Not to take away anything from Moeller, but I don't think they are as good as they were last year. We'll find out come playoff time but this is a game that Moeller absolutely should have won, no question. -CardinalsFan
  12. Just an observation, Moeller is at Elder this week. The comment about playing Lasalle is from last week. By the way, I expect you guys to beat Moeller handily when the time comes. -CardinalsFan
  13. Indeed! The Old Goats are good people and I am certainly happy for them. Been a while, I'm guessing, since the Crimsons started off 6-0. A guaranteed winning season and confidence for Dupont. The offense was absent for half this game but came alive the 4th quarter. Just enough to come back with the W. -CardinalsFan
  14. Crimsons - 10 Bears - 14 Game can be seen here: Manual Crimsons on iHigh.com -CardinalsFan
  15. Some of the details to back up ATLCat's comments. Their schedule and results so far: Schedule and results Current Harbin Rankings: Ohio Div IV, Region 14 (They are in the same region as Cincy teams McNicholas, Wyoming, Batavia, Indian Hill). While they are a Div IV team, they have played up to Div III 3 times and are 2-1 in those games. Their other two wins came against Div V teams (Rock Hill and Fairland). Their lone loss was to Athens which is undefeated and #1 in their region according to the Harbin points. Athens average game score is 52-15, so they are pretty good. Hope that helps a little. Good luck Pirates!! -CardinalsFan
  16. I pulled off some info from the OHSAA site and will post it in the thread if it isn't already there. -CardinalsFan
  17. Disappointed are you? Well, the Reds are playing tonight in post-season action so I thought I'd throw a curveball to the BGP community! -CF
  18. Here I was trying to prop up my KY brothers and everyone has to be a Negative Nancy and talk about the level of competition from the OH side! Recognize the effort people!! :ohbrother:  -CardinalsFan
  19. Just found this on the very famous rankings site Calpreps.com. I didn't realize they kept track of this sort of thing but they do, apparently. In 2013, Ohio and KY have faced off 18 times vs. each other. KY's record in those 18 games: 9 wins vs. 9 losses. They break down as follows 9 Wins 08/30 Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY) 20 Lima (OH) 14 08/30 Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY) 21 Middletown Christian (Franklin, OH) 6 09/06 Eminence (KY) 50 Riverview East Academy (Cincinnati, OH) 6 09/06 Scott (Covington, KY) 70 Aiken (Cincinnati, OH) 8 09/13 Dayton (KY) 33 New Miami (Hamilton, OH) 6 09/13 Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY) 38 Turpin (Cincinnati, OH) 7 09/17 South Floyd (Hi Hat, KY) 36 Hillcrest (Cincinnati, OH) 0 09/20 Ashland Blazer [Paul G.] (Ashland, KY) 42 Ironton (OH) 20 09/20 Raceland (KY) 42 Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH) 33 9 Losses 08/30 Cincinnati Country Day (Cincinnati, OH) 32 Pendleton County (Falmouth, KY) 22 08/30 South Point (OH) 20 Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY) 14 09/06 Ironton (OH) 35 Russell (KY) 14 09/06 New Richmond (OH) 48 Grant County (Dry Ridge, KY) 13 09/06 Sycamore (Cincinnati, OH) 28 Ryle (Union, KY) 0 09/07 Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, OH) 45 Covington Catholic (Park Hills, KY) 7 09/13 Colerain (Cincinnati, OH) 42 Trinity (Louisville, KY) 28 09/13 South Point (OH) 23 Boyd County (Ashland, KY) 19 09/20 Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, OH) 24 St. Xavier (Louisville, KY) 12 This is a very broad spectrum of games and shows that the deeper you go into smaller schools, the closer KY and OH are in terms of competition. I still believe that the larger schools in Ohio, on average, are better than the largest schools in KY but when looking at this finite sample, it shows that the states are not that far apart. Just thought I'd pass some good news along on this Tuesday. -CardinalsFan
  20. No idea why he did it. Clearly, it IS the question of the night in SW Ohio. Kick the FG and let your defense make something happen. It was a bonehead decision that has cost the Bombers their 2nd loss of the season. -CardinalsFan
  21. St. Xavier had the ball on the Moeller 2 yard line on 4th down in OT and...went for the TD! Why on Earth they didn't just kick a FG is beyond me. As a result, the pass was batted down and Moeller kicked the game winning FG on their only possession in OT. -CardinalsFan
  22. The teams that were 10-0 that didn't make the playoffs were at a time when only 4 teams made the playoffs. I am pretty certain since they move to 8 teams up through last year there isn't a single team that has gone undefeated and did not make the playoffs. However, it has clearly happened historically. -CardinalsFan
