Belfry 42 - 14

Gallia Academy is a Division 4 team and enter 4-1. In their 4 wins they have been very impressive absolutely exploding for yards and points. The problem is against the one quality team on their schedule they gave up 60 and were blown out.

 

Last year they went 10-2 and reached the 2nd Round of the playoffs.

 

Nice team and they will probably have success on the Belfry Defense...not sure they will match up Belfry physically though.

Current Harbin Rankings: Ohio Div IV, Region 14 (They are in the same region as Cincy teams McNicholas, Wyoming, Batavia, Indian Hill).

 

While they are a Div IV team, they have played up to Div III 3 times and are 2-1 in those games. Their other two wins came against Div V teams (Rock Hill and Fairland). Their lone loss was to Athens which is undefeated and #1 in their region according to the Harbin points. Athens average game score is 52-15, so they are pretty good.

Even when G.A. has a winning record they do not usually beat the better teams in their part of the state.

 

They really do not come North to play the better teams in Ohio(their size or even smaller)

 

They have faced one good team this year and got smoked.

 

2012 9-3 (won a playoff game over Archbishop McNicholas(7-4) 37-35 loss playoff game to Thurgood Marshall (12-2) 68-9

Last season they were able to defeat a good Athens team

Lost to Licking Heights(21-7) and Thurgood Marshall(68-9) the two best team on their schedule.

 

2011 ended 6-4(no playoffs)

Lost to Athens (15-10) and to Jackson(27-6) both teams were the two best on their schedule.

They did not beat anyone that ended the season over .500

 

2010 7-3 No playoffs

No wins over any team above .500

Lost to Ironton(10-3) by the score of 48-7 and lost to Jackson (11-2) 41-18 Both were the only team above .500 on the schedule

BTW I watched a playoff game in Jackson a couple of years ago and the stadium and the atmosphere was incredible. The Ironmen typically have a good football team.

Think Belfry may be a little too deep and physical... but I think the Blue Devils will burn Belfry a couple times.
