And do you know WHY it is that way? -CardinalsFan

We have screen passes in our playbook. Use them almost every single game. However, you ever seen our wings at full speed on a pitch? Just as fast and no chance for an interception. -CardinalsFan

For anyone that wants to check in for updates, you will be able to hear it LIVE on WeAreColerain.com. Just click on LIVE BROADCASTS and it will take you to Colerain's Cube page with the broadcast. -CardinalsFan

Nope. There are no sell outs at Colerain. You should come up. You can see how little passing we actually do. (sarcasm). -CardinalsFan
-
You absolutely can win championships. High school isn't the NFL. If you can execute your offense better than your opponent executes their defense, you can certainly win championships. Colerain has proven that. -CardinalsFan
-
Yes, you can. And you can win a lot of games doing it. -CF

There are going to be A LOT of schools interested in Amir once it's all said and done. Had 2 picks this past weekend and should lead the conference in Picks. I think he can do better than UK. My personal feeling. -CardinalsFan

Covington Catholic/Sycamore Predictions
CardinalsFan replied to ThrillVille Cardinal51's topic in KY Football (High School)
Ra'Von Bonner. Class of 2017. A dynamic athlete. Received an offer to Cincinnati as a Freshman. Scout Profile Has a good senior in the backfield with him. They will be much better in week 2. I think it will be a good game, with Sycamore coming out on top late in the game. -CardinalsFan -
I'm around. Always checking in on my good BGP friends. No real crossover games for the Cardinals this year so my posting is just down. Certainly didn't expect to see this thread on this board. I, obviously, will be there. My heart says Cardinals by my head says Bombers. We are going to have to step up the offense AND defense to have a shot in this one. Good news is that it's our home opener and that should give us an advantage. A win over St. Xavier, combined with the win over Warren Central (IN) would be a GREAT start to the year. -CardinalsFan

Inside Highlands Athletic Fieldhouse
CardinalsFan replied to Qryche11's topic in KY Football (High School)
This is true, to a point. I agree. If I can get some pics of Colerain's weight room, I'll post. Last I heard, the floor was close to collapsing because it was never meant to be a weight room. It's amazing what can be done with some blood, sweat and tears. Very nice facility Highlands. I am sure many will get thousands of hours of use out of it. -CardinalsFan -

Who will be the next Covington Catholic football Coach?
CardinalsFan replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
How can it be out of date...he teaches "Current Issues"!  Sorry, couldn't resist. Best of luck to CovCath on their coaching search. -CardinalsFan -
Saw this article this morning in the Enquirer. I had no idea Steve was the first head coach at Covington Catholic. Former St. Xavier football coach Steve Rasso died Tuesday night Steve was a very good man who had more to offer the world. His loss is certainly felt in the Cincinnati coaching community and possibly extending into NKY as well. Thoughts and prayers to his family and the CovCath and St. Xavier families as well. -CardinalsFan

Trinity/Dixie Heights (Class 6A Championship) Updates
CardinalsFan replied to swamprat's topic in KY Football (High School)
This is going to be a 5+ TD win for Trinity. Just a complete mismatch athletically. -CardinalsFan -

CardinalsFan replied to ggclfan's topic in KY Football (High School)
ha ha ha....YOU SO FUNNY!!! No. Colerain has certainly had transfers, but that is entirely different from being able to draw from anywhere you want within the state of Ohio. Plus, if you live in Northwest HS's area, you have to go there. You can't go to Colerain unless you move into Colerain's area. It really is a scam what these private schools have going. Completely different set of rules and yet, we all are expected to play on the same field come November. Makes no sense to me at all. -CardinalsFan -
Was tonight a moral victory for Covington Catholic?
CardinalsFan replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
:ohbrother: DOH!!! Didn't realize that. Thought there were in different districts. As a Buckeye, the whole "district" concept is completely foreign to me. Well, then, good luck with the Birds next year! Have several Colonels as in-laws and it pains them to see the recent results. -CardinalsFan -

Was tonight a moral victory for Covington Catholic?
CardinalsFan replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
Ohh boy...hand-holding necessary. Obviously, talking about the regular season contest. Not the playoffs. Wow...sad I had to explain that. -CardinalsFan -

Crable is a Senior. MacVittie is a JR and will take over at QB for the Crusaders next year. 6'4" 205 now. Another year with weights and proper diet, he'll be 220 lbs. Ahhhh...the benefits of an unlimited drawing area!!! Gotta love it. -CardinalsFan -
Was tonight a moral victory for Covington Catholic?
CardinalsFan replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
Unless they are playing the GCL or Colerain (who they refuse to schedule). It's all relative Ru. :sneaky: On topic, if anyone at CCH describes this as a moral victory, then it's time to stop scheduling the game. It's that simple. CCH has to find a way to beat Highlands, plain and simple. I will say this, from an outsiders perspective, it is not a rivalry in the traditional sense. How can it be? It as lopsided as any I've ever seen, at any level. It's like the little brother constantly trying to find a way to beat his big brother in anything and is never successful. Maybe one day the older brother is tired and feels bad and doesn't go 100% balls to the wall to win and the little brother sneaks in a W, but that does not make it fair...or a rivalry. -CardinalsFan -
NKY Football Making A Statement Tonight
CardinalsFan replied to Walter's topic in KY Football (High School)
:eyeonyou: Are you suggesting that kids move from the Cincinnati area to Northern Kentucky...for the quality of High School football??  :banghead:  I'm speechless...literally, I have no idea what to say. :idunno: -CardinalsFan -
Cooper vs Pulaski County Predictions
CardinalsFan replied to CooperSportsFan's topic in KY Football (High School)
Wonder if my little rant after the Dixie game got the boys riled up! What say you Hellbird? I am so proud of my Jaguars. They have come to the party ready to crash and this game will be no different. Glad I didn't make the wasted trip to Anderson Cty, I knew The Coop couldn't be stopped and would take it to the State Semi's! The Jags will shock the world and find a way to win at Pulaski! Their final act as a member of 5A will be to play in their 2nd State final in school history!!! GO COOPER!! JAGUARS #1!! -CardinalsFan -

Please keep in mind that St. Xavier was without their starting QB. They went to their converted WR Whitrock. Moeller loses next week to Wayne. -CardinalsFan
