Lafayette 16 North Bullitt 6
Sounds like both teams have things to clean up offensively. Lafayette needs to eliminate the drops, and North needs to cut out the fumbles.
-
Male 50 Fairdale 7
It was 47-0 at the half. Male kicked a FG on their 1st possesion of the 2nd half to make it 50-0. Fairdale finally scored when Male put the reserves in. If the score would've been 41-0, there wouldn't have been a running clock to start the 2nd half.

Male 50 Fairdale 7
The game wasn't really that close. Male was up 47-0 at the half.

Western/North Bullitt Scrimmage.
Johnson will be the starter, but Bowles will probably get a series or two.

2007 Bullitt East
As far as I know, multi team scrimmages count as only 1 scrimmage. So North could've had a multi team scrimmage last week and then still be able to have a game this week.

2007 Bullitt East
All I heard about was Dunbar. I'm not sure about the other teams, I think they were on the other end of the field.

Week One: What game (or games) will you take in?
I think it is at Male.

Week One: What game (or games) will you take in?
The 24th I'm going to watch Male vs. Fairdale and on the 25th; Bullitt East vs. Woodford County.

2007 Bullitt East
I don't think that is correct.

Fairdale/Butler Scrimmage
Not much of a surprise there. Fairdale should be pretty good this year. I know you can't read too much into 7 on 7 play, but Butler was really bad. They have a lot of work to do.
-
Highlands/Lou Male Scrimmage
I wouldn't be surprised to see Highlands win this either. Male is going to be down somewhat this year. Male will still be very good, but they aren't as strong as usual.

Do you think your team needs to upgrade, downgrade, or hold onto their schedule?
I like the schedule for Bullitt East this year. I'm very glad we are out of that 9 team district we were in. Couple that with our annual game against Bullitt Central and we could only schedule 1 game per year. We've kept some of our foes from our previous district on the schedule and added some tough opponents that should get us ready for the playoffs. Since everyone from the new district will make the playoffs, the coaching staff thought it was important to play a tough schedule to get ready for playoff time. Beating the Heat
Bullitt East has changed their practice schedule for this week. They are going from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

4-A upsets in 2007
Yeah, I think it will be very difficult for Marion. By the way, BE is returning 8 starters on offense and 9 on defense.
-
Biggest Rivalries
Bullitt East and Nelson County also have a traveling trophy. BE also gets to renew an old rivalry this year since Larue County is back in our district. When these 2 schools were in the same 2A district, it was the most intense game ever year, even more so than BE and North Bullitt.

The Ray Charger classic
I don't know, that is what is showing on the KHSAA website.

4A Football
I agree, but after seeing them at the BE 7 on 7 this past weekend, they look to have some better players this year. I don't know if that will translate to wins or not, but it did seem to be an improvement.

4A Football
Nope. 4-5. Bourbon County (0-10), Franklin County (9-3), Harrison County (5-6), Pendleton County (3-7)

Bullitt East & Grant 7 on 7
Fairdale did beat St. X in the finals, there was a little jawing going on afterwards. No big deal.

Coach Pardue, Boyle County
Okay, luck.:thumb:

Coach Pardue, Boyle County
What I'm saying is, it takes both coaching and talent to win like Boyle did. You can't win multiple championships like that on talent alone and you can't do it on coaching alone. Coach Smith is only half of the equation.
-
Coach Pardue, Boyle County
Let's not forget the incredible run of Division I talent that Boyle had while Smith was there. Boyle just isn't going to consistently get that kind of talent. Boyle had a "once in a lifetime" run. People should enjoy those memories, but it isn't realistic to expect that kind of run every year.

Bullitt East 7 on 7
There has been an update to the field. Louisville Central has dropped out and will be replaced by Seneca's JV.

Male 7 on 7 tourney
I didn't get to see much of Breathitt County. I did see them play against Male. Offensively, Breathitt looked pretty good. Defensively, they just couldn't keep up with Male.
