Manual's varsity is undefeated in 7 on 7 play this year.

Won the U of L tourney, unbeaten in 2 nights of Butler's month long tourney at Stewart Middle and won Male's "best of the best" Friday night tourney and won Male's Sat tourney.

Last season the Crimson's had more passing attempts, completions, and passing yards than any other season under Nichols, and those records may be in danger if the 7 on 7 season is any indicator.

They look pretty good out there and it's not like they're doing anything special. They're just running good, sharp routes, QB is making good decisions and they rarely drop a pass. It's hard to beat a team when they don't make mistakes. Congrats to Manual. They should be very, very good when the "real" season rolls around.

Breathitt Country, Owen County, Louisville Christian Academy, Western Hills, Boone County, Butler, Shelby County were some of the others that played. Also on Saturday, Male beat Bullitt East for the JV championship. There were 2 JV pools. Pool 1 was Bullitt East, Fern Creek, and Manual JV. Pool 2 was Male, Seneca, and Manual Freshmen.

How did Fern Creek do in this tourney? Curious to see what ex-Redman coach Higgins has brought back to Louisville....

 

 

On Friday night they beat Male and lost to Manual not sure about their first game I got there late.

 

On Saturday they won their pool beating Seneca and Butler then lost on a controversal call to Breathitt County. Hynes threw a TD pass and the whistle blew while it was in the air the official said Hynes took longer than 4sec to throw his whistle was just late so the TD was waived off. Game time was up after Hynes last pass so they didnt get another chance to score I think they lost that one by 3...
