Also, fair or not, I think there's a negative image regarding priorities that comes with canceling school but allowing sporting events.

There’s almost no rhyme or reason to anything they’ve done on defense for two years. Just a lot of hopping, bouncing, jumping - and probably guessing more than anything. They seem to have no philosophy or clue.

Most frustrating is not getting back on runouts. Oweh on multiple occasions hasn’t made it past half court, including the missed runout that Vandy’s guy followed up with a layup. He’s an extremely frustrating good player.

This was very good. Its an oral history collection from a University of Louisville professor about desegregation, busing, and other issues in JCPS from the 1950s to 2007. It also helps shed some light on issues that still exist in the school system. I'm guessing there are hard copies in libraries but I read it on Hoopla. I think @theguru @TheDeuce and @Colonels_Wear_Blue would all enjoy it.

There have been a few years where weather has been a factor: in 2009, the schedule was modified throughout the weekend due to an ice storm and in 2021 (already delayed by Covid), the first two rounds were played at high school campuses before bringing the final four to Eastern.

Yes and no. First, it's an 8:30am start, not 8am. However, back in the 1990s the first game started at 9am, followed by 10:30, Noon, and 1:30. They bumped the first game up to 8:30 several years ago to give a little time between the morning and evening sessions to clear the gym, pick up trash, etc.
