Very strange bracket layout. I'm assuming the top will play each other and then the bottom. Why would the #1 and #2 seed be on the same side otherwise?

I like Oats a ton but this was obvious to the layman. Nobody watched this team in November and December and said, “wow they really pass it well to get good looks.”

Johnson gets beat, then throws it away and walks down the floor while Alabama shoots a layup. To the bench, forever.

Genuinely worried about him being in Gillespie territory. Not the personal issues, just the absolute overwhelming nature of the position. And I can’t prove it, but it looks like he hates this team.

Allowed 50 in a half to a hollowed out Alabama team whose best player has three fouls. Wasn’t the entire roster constructed in response to losses to Alabama last year? Job well done…

There is zero logical explanation for not starting your best players in a road game at maybe the best team in the league. Zero.

Amen, but the problem is the College Football Playoff isn’t an NCAA event. For all their faults, the NCAA is really good at running tournaments. That’s why this is such a disaster - it’s a bunch of selfish leagues only concerned about themselves.

I think the timing is a big issue. A month off for one team while the other team got to play is hardly equal. First round should be second week of December, second round should be third week, today should be the semifinals.

That seemed obvious in the press conference and Stein’s interview on KSR. Boley has been fine but if he wasn’t from Kentucky I doubt people would even notice. In the world of the transfer portal, no new coach wants to hitch himself to someone he didn’t recruit.

For most of my 40+ years on earth I would have disagreed with you, but I'm starting to come around to this way of thinking. It was interesting to see it done on a trial basis in the 15th Region last year (it was also done for baseball and softball in the 6th Region in 2024-25).

I saw Great Crossing against Caverna and while they certainly aren't the level they've been the last couple of years, they still played hard and were solid fundamentally. Caverna's athleticism hurt them, especially down the stretch. I also saw West play Bryan Station and the Colts looked like they would have rather been anywhere except that gym. If both teams played Sunday the way they played Saturday, it's no surprise Great Crossing won.

Jasper Johnson is not enjoyable to watch in any way, shape or form. So very much AAU nonsense in his game.
