They need to lobby the KHSAA to get out of 6-A. They got no business being there. This is a 4-A team.

No way Henderson Co get's that far this season. Rebuilding mode & new coach. Henderson co will never beat the big 3 of the ville with only 35 players. Now, if they get thier numbers up????????

Anytime you play the bigtime teams in thiertown, it would behoove you to play a near perfect game. What has hurt Henderson is simply numbers. Your not gonna beat Male, St.X ot Trinity with 35 players. Simple as that. It will likely be a lean year for Henderson Co, but if new coach Clevenger will hit the halls, the youth football leagues & work at it, things can change. The 2004 team of Will Fidler could beat anybody in the state that year, except any of the big 3. NUMBERS!!!!!!!!

Im sorry to hear of this. I would fervently hope that Henderson Co will at least consider the possibility of hiring an interim coach just for this year. This will allow Henderson to have plenty of time in picking among more numerous candidates next spring!

Sounds like a super guy & great coach. I welcome him to Henderson Co.

Really don't know anything about Mike Jackson, im sure he is a great coach. My hats off to Brian & Josh Boston for keeping the ship afloat. It's gonna b tough to get the cailber of coach that we had in such a dealine situation. Whatever your opinion's about either Duffy was, they can flat out prepare a team to play thier opponent. Perhaps im biased, as the Duffy's were the only coaching staff i ever helped. I just can't imaging anyone outworking them, Some really big shoes to fill in that regard. I know, i have seen it for 9 seasons.

Personally, i'd like to see Henderson co hire from within on an interim basis for one season only. We need a great, high caliber coach to compete with the likes of Male, Trinity & St. X & we aren't likely to find one this late.

I guess the dislike for the Duffys just keeps many from giving credit where its due. Henderson Co dispatched both Warren Central & Owensboro Sr. on the road to reach the final 4, but not even a mention. Sure Henderson got smoked by Ryle, but so did Ryle by Trinity & yet they R listed repeatedly.:irked:
