Graves Co at Warren Central

Featured Replies

Warren Central handled the Eagles rather handily during the regular season and have been the most consistent team in the district all year..Graves comes in with a 9-2 record and back to back wins over solid teams in Marshall Co and Christian Co...Who wins this one?

Ya gotta go with WC being @ home, but it should b a dandy!

Very interesting....the staff at Graves have the whole program believing they can be dominant....I will go with Graves.

The Eagles run comes to an end in the 2nd round...Warren Central stops the run and negates Graves County's ball control ground game forcing them to try and go to the air. Graves puts on a good showing for the most part but has a long bus ride back to the Jackson Purchase.

Warren Central 35

Graves County 14

I think Graves could very well pull the upset...WCentral is a tough opponent but Graves wants to show they belong with the elite in 4a rgn 1...I think the Eagles will play hard and play close, but, in the end, WC will prevail...21-14

Warren Central-35

Graves County-21

the eagles wont be able to run the ball like they usually do.....and their passing game is a less than stellar one that can't win them games...WC by two td's.

Warren Central 35-21.

WC seems to be having more trouble 3 out of the last 4 games. Greenwood by 14 and the Marshall and Christian games make me wonder about them. I know the last two are good teams, but even the PT and DC scores seem to suggest that they are down a bit. However, I think still they may win region.

I don't know if I would call them down or not, but, I do believe they were better overall last year and have less room for error...They will have there hands full from here on out, for sure...I do think they'll pull it out this week against Graves, but, the Owensboro/Henderson winner will be a very difficult task...

I don't think there is any doubt that Warren Central isn't quite as good as last year. They lost too much on the defensive front, for starters.

On the contrary, I think they're hurting much more on offense with respect to last year. They did lose on the defensive side, but overall I actually think they're stronger. Offensively the loss of three of their starting linemen has led to Ayers having much less protection this year. His #1 receiver from last year is gone, which for part of the year left Beason their only option. Some players have stepped up into those positions, but they've had a rough go of it in some games.

Central definitely has less room for error, but they've done a good job of overcoming their losses this year.
