Thanks I had really forgotten about this, but rereading it gave me a good chuckle. Just for the record at a glance it looks like the SK girls had quite a few unassisted goals this year. Not sure how many double or triple assisted goals they had as I don't think Coach Zoeller has to report those to the KHSAA. :jump:

The KHSAA values geographic diversity over having the best teams represented in later rounds of the state tourney, so they will never seed. Think about that statement and let it sink in. Sad, but true.

They split in 2001 too. I remember that year distinctly because... In 2001 HHS won the first game 52-22, but they were the benefactor of lots of Colonel turnovers. Cov. Cath despite losing by 30 had approximately a million yards against the Birds. After the first game I remember having a conversation with Dale that I was concerned because we had given up so many yards. He smiled and told me there was no reason to be concerned. In game two, minus the turnovers, the game was much tighter and the Colonels upset the Birds with a field goal at the end of regulation.

That class is full of great guys. I was just harassing them a bit. I have openly said I might be the worst player in Highlands history, so me throwing stones at anyone is no different.

I believe that class went 6-4, lost to Cov. Cath., and didn't make the playoffs. What do they know??? :banana:

Julian Tackett has said that the KHSAA values a more geographically diverse state championship bracket more than it does a more competitive bracket. Meaning they would rather an Eastern KY team advance a few rounds than the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th best team from NKY, Lexington, or Louisville.

The old district with Brossart, Campbell, Highlands, and NCC was brutal to get out of, which probably is part of the reason Campbell hasn't won more district titles.

Maybe, but the Highlands game would have been a late add to put Boone over the limit when it looks like they already had enough games. To me it is shades of gray as to who wronged who the most here.

It looks like to me that on KHSAA scoreboard that Boone has already played 20 games. The limit is 21. So Boone couldn't have played both Highlands and Villa the last week of the season or they would have been over. Correct?
