UKlover123
I find it really hard to believe Simon Kenton is ranked #8. They are in the state semis. They beat Owensboro Catholic AND LexCath. What the heck? If they best West Jessamine this Wednesday will they only move up to #6? More weight should be given to tournament games in the calculation. That's when everyone is at the top of their game.

A ton of teams, especially the ones winning a regional title use the first half of the season or more to really explore things with regard to their roster. Who can I count on under pressure, who works best with who, etc, etc. So many times a regional winner will be willing to take a tie or loss during the regular season to be at their best come tournament time. Putting a higher value on every regional game and state tournament games makes a ton of sense to me.

Just out of curiosity Lawrence County and Russell were both in the elite eight, where would you rank them? Maher says neither were top 20.
Goal Kick
My question is who do you move out of the top 20 to make room for Russell and Lawrence? Both teams had great season but Russell played 4 top 25 team and lost to all 4, NCC won 4-0, GRC won 4-1, Boone Co won 4-0, and Lex Cath won 6-0. Lawrence only played one and lost to Simon Kenton 4-0. Also during the season Lawrence lost to Russell 3-0. I think they both had great seasons but its hard for me to find a team that should be moved out of the top 20 to let them in. Just my opinion. Congrats on all the teams left and good luck.
