As I was looking through the list, reading names I came across a familiar name. Didn't even occur to me that my son would be on the list. Not sure what this does nor doesn't say, but three of the better sports programs in the state didn't have many: - Trinity had 4 - Cov. Cath had 2 - St. X had just 1 Also of note: Male had 1, Ballard had 2, Tates Creek had 4, Scott County had 4, Sacred Heart had 4, Dunbar had 5, Lafayette had 2, Fairdale had 5, Dupont Manual had 2, Daviess County had 1, Henderson County had 3, Madison Central had 2, George Rogers Clark had 2, Butler had 1, Fern Creek had 3, Henderson County had 3, Notre Dame had 1, and Assumption had 1. Not sure what that means, but interesting that some of the bigger schools in the state didn't have many.

Since we haven't seen the newcomers then it is hard to know, but my guess is he still would have been coming off the bench.

Kids should go wherever they are happy; however, a transfer by Faulkner to a mid to lower tier Southern Conference team with little to no hope of making it to NCAA Tourney makes little sense to me.

I love Eastern Relays. It is an incredible high school meet. Jealous of you guys getting to enjoy that. Hopefully I will get to go again in a few years. Enjoy.

Dreves is their #2 (UT commit). Rom (Michigan commit) is their #1. Both are very good.

Oklahoma State plucked Brad Underwood, who I think is a very good coach) from Stephen F. Austin; however, they low balled him on the salary (because they had all the leverage). So after one season he immediately jumped to Illinois who paid him. Low ball Travis Steele (or anyone else who you find worthy of coaching your team) and you might find yourself looking for a new coach almost immediately.

No top teams play many true road games and some play none. It is a problem with college basketball. It is not any more of an issue at UK than UofL, Michigan State, Duke, etc. The Memphis Series would have been more interesting when Tubby was there, because it would have brought Tubby back to Rupp. The UK/Memphis series is now much more interesting if you live in Memphis. I doubt it happens.

Looks like our gym had our first regional athlete qualifier (other than our gym owner who has qualified for the games as a master athlete). Other than him, we don't have any athletes of that caliber. Pretty exciting for us to watch him qualify after busting his butt for the past year. I am sure we will head to Nashville to watch him and this regional is loaded.

I got 60 this morning (finishing the round of 12). I was pleased since this is the first time I have ever done chest to bar in a workout and I can only do them 1 at a time. I am happy the open is over. I just do crossfit to workout and this whole competition aspect is waaaaaay beyond someone of my skill and fitness level.
