  1. Yesterday's workout: 3 rounds of: 30 alternating arm dumbbell snatches (50 pounds) 20 wallballs (20 pounds) Thought I might die (of course most days I have that thought).
  2. How much rest did you typically get? I would think you should have got at least a minute or so.
  3. I still can't think of Tackett, without thinking of him tagging himself as the "adult in the room". Makes me laugh every single time.
  4. No one should get too worked up. Whatever they decide, history says they will change it again in the near future.
  5. I saw her in the tour company of Hello Dolly around 1994 or 1995.
  6. Yesterday was an interesting workout and one in which I bet Woodsrider will remember. Open Workout 13.1- Complete as many reps as possible in 17 minutes 40 burpees 75 pound snatch - 30 reps 30 burpees 135 pound snatch - 20 reps 20 burpees 165 pound snatch - 10 reps 10 burpees 210 pound snatch - as many reps as possible in remaining time I made it through the 20 burpees. I had a little over a minute to attempt the 165 snatches, but couldn't get a single one.
  7. Hope I can get there. There are few coaches at gym who believe I can. We shall see.
  8. Can you do the bar MU? That is my goal in 2019 to get a bar MU. Not even sure I have what it takes to get one, but sure would like to get one if I can.
  9. Looks like NKU opened up another section (at least partially). Section 204, the top corner above where NKU comes out looks to be about 1/2 sold. If students do their part and show, as well as, they get a good walk out, the crowd should be really solid.
  10. Beating Brossart (or NCC) by as many as you can is really no big deal; however, I don't think you should run up the score on just anyone. :jump:
  11. They have pulled out every trick to try to get a big crowd Friday. Hope it pays off. They are giving away tshirts to students. They offered a one day $9 flash sale to all fans. Full credit to the administration for trying.
  12. I thought we had more for the WV game. I still think topping 6,000 will be tough. Right now the three upper sections behind the benches (201, 202, and 203) are sold out except for the top 2-3 rows. On the opposite side (sections 210, 211, and 212) are sold out except for he last 4-5 rows. They have not opened or sold any tickets in sections 204, 205, 206, 207, 208, or 209.
  13. Looks like I will have to sit in my assigned seat Friday and not where you normally see me. My guess is the best they can do is the second highest regular season attendance. I don't think they will break the West Virginia attendance from a few years back. That was a good crowd.
  14. Was Warner fired at Ryle or did he resign. I honestly don't recall how it ended.
  15. 2018 was a good year for me, I was able to learn several new skills at gym including kipping pull-ups, stringing toes to bar together, double under jump ropes, and I have made much progress on handstand pushups. Not sure how much my overall cardio has improved; however, on most lifts (given my mobility in my shoulders - or lack thereof) I am probably as strong as I am ever going to get. Goal for 2019 - a bar muscle up.
  16. I was agreeing with you. I didn't mean for that to be taken any other way. Just amazed at how little they even tried to run.
  17. Offensive discipline not being their forte is the understatement of the year. They literally run nothing.
  18. Think about the kind of person you get who works a concession stand on behalf of a volunteer versus who you could hire off the street to work what is basically a minimum wage (or worse) job and it makes sense why they would rather have volunteer groups.
  19. I am a part of volunteer group that runs a concession stand at PBS. The volunteers run the concession stands much better (whatever metric you want to use) than the paid employees. I have been told this and I have witnessed it. As far as any issues, I would have zero issue eating from anything that leaves our stand. We really follow every rule and procedure as prescribed. I am sure mistakes are made and things happen, but that is the very rare exception and not the rule. Honestly, I would have a hard time thinking of anything that would even fit in the "rare exception" category.
  20. He could get a fair trial in NKY at this point. While there are a few in Ft. Thomas that have strong opinions about him, most people in NKY (and Ft. Thomas) would have no idea who he is. With 25 years passing since he left, a trial in NKY would be no issue, IMO.
