  1. Interesting. Is Jeffries more of a step toward getting Jonathan Lawson than actually wanting Jeffries?
  2. I think the Lawson's wish they were with Penny coached Memphis. DJ Jeffries is their cousin and he committed to Memphis. I think Jonathan Lawson will commit to Memphis in time.
  3. Penny got him to move from Nashville to Memphis to play HS ball there. His HS teammate Malcom Dandridge is a Memphis commit. His summer ball teammate DJ Jeffries is a Memphis commit. Penny convinced Wiseman to stay at East High and not bolt for Findlay Prep so he could keep an eye on him (East High is about a mile from campus). When Team Penny folded Wiseman started playing for a team coached by Memphis asst. coach, Michael Miller's, brother. The signs of Wiseman to Memphis have been trending that way since Penny got the job.
  4. I wish I did. I think I lost that phone, but that was a looooong time ago.
  5. If anyone is interested here is brief recap of the game: The game started all Birds. They took the wind to their back and dominated action. About 24 minutes into the 1st half, Caymon Stevie played a cross that Porter Hedenburg ran to, backtracked with a run, got CovCath CB to commit and slide. Porter avoided the slide tackle took a touch to his left and fired it the right of the goalie with his left foot. The Birds kept the pressure up, but couldn't get that all important second goal and we went to the half 1-0 Birds. CovCath got the wind in the second half. The wind intensified in the first couple minutes and so did the Colonels attack. Deimling, Darpel, Curk, and Kennedy kept the pressure up. The Colonels also move Stava deeper into midfield since clearances were all dying at about midfield. With his ability to pass and dribble, the Birds were in for a long second half. However, it was the Birds that struck first in the second half in the 7th minute. Luke Schweitzer played a seeing eye through ball to Elijah Stevie who had made a deep run from midfield. Stevie kept his composure and slotted it past the goalie to put the Birds up 2-0. After that, the next 20 minutes were ALL Colonels. At about the 9th minute, a long cross from the Colonels left went through a gazillion players and Nate Darpel was there to pinball the ball in off of a couple of Birds to get the goal and make it a 2-1 game. Wave after wave of attack ensued, but the Birds repelled them all. With about 13 to go, the Colonels momentum slowed and Highlands put together some dangerous counter attacks. That is how the rest of the game went. Birds 2 and the Colonels 1. #Doubledatetostate
  6. Question: Does the post game NDA prayer circle only include the opponent when NDA wins?
  7. Can’t believe we don’t have a thread on this one. Does no one want to talk about the game?
  8. My apologies to you both and everyone else I forgot. My bad.
  9. Sorry ... not sure how I missed one of the best.
  10. 11. The avatar thread got me thinking, who on BGP is still active from the early years. Obviously Guru because it is his baby. I noticed Neerfan is February 01. Anyone else from 00, 01, or 02?
  12. I think the running man is the only avatar I have ever had. In early days we didn't have any avatars, but I think I started using the running man once that feature was added. I bet I have had that one for 15 years. Guru used Mr. Burns from the Simpsons for a long time.
  13. If you have a toddler, I would suggest you go to Harry and Izzy's, which is owned and operated by the same people. St. Elmo's is an old traditional upscale steakhouse, while Harry and Izzy's is much more casual. Same shrimp cocktail (I know you don't care for this) and same steaks. Harry and Izzy's is right next door I believe.
  14. I'll bite. I don't follow this, so who is the Smith kid?
  15. When I was running a lot of miles I wore Asics Trainers, really light minimalist shoes. Now with a lot more miles on my knees I prefer the clown shoes that are Hokkas.
  16. I have no complaints. I have heard people complain about the flexibility of the shoe and that they don't breathe well, but I cant tell that either of those are true. I do think they are better for running than my Nano's, but had rather do rope climbs in my Nano's. I have 2 pair of No Bulls and my Nano's and I tend to rotate around depending on what the workout is and to coordinate with what I am wearing.
  17. - Ultraboost or NMD's to just wear around - Oomhs flip flops (these are the best). - No Bull crossfit shoes - I have been running in Hokka Ones, but just bought a pair of On Cloud running shoes so we will see how they go.
  18. Notre Dame awarded 2 PK's down the stretch for the win. Can anyone provide any details?
  19. DJ Jeffries taint you that bad.
  20. I bought my wife a gift card to float at the one in Mariemont. She described the experience as odd and couldn't decide how much she did or didn't liked it; however, she felt it helped with both her arthritis, tendonitis and general joint/muscle pain (we work out a lot and are always sore). She thought it was hard to keep water out of your ears with the provided plugs and that she would take her own next time. In the end she concluded that it was beneficial enough to do it periodically, but she probably wouldn't do it all that regularly.
  21. Nothing wrong with either choice, but Dreves is a Tennessee signee with an outstanding arm. He pitched an exceptional game last week in round 2. Nothing wrong with Cramer either and I am sure coach loves having him available should Hunter struggle. Tall order tonight versus a team of X's caliber, but at least we have very capable arms available.
  22. If it doesn't then Julian "the adult in the Room" Tackett will just call off everything and go home. :jump:
