  1. Now that you mention that, I saw him. He walked past me in the endzone with Cris and Holly Collinsworth. He had the red Stanford jacket on! Wow... I thought he was recruiting AC for Stanford. Hmmmm... Thanks Straight!
  2. Every school that made the playoffs earned that distinction by the current KHSAA set-up.
  3. Just saw the "cheap shot" behind the back to the knees by a Johnson Central player... wow! Was the Central player a senior or will he back next year?
  4. I agree as well. Perhaps the KHSAA should go to a 5 class system with an "invitational" 6th class. Schools in the 6th classification can opt in and out on a two year basis. Schools like HHS, Boyle, SK, Bell County, Male, ST X and Trinity and others can opt to play 6A ball. If a school has a dramatic drop in athletic talent, that school can opt out into its respective classificaton based upon its current enrollment. My thinking is that everyone would want to play the best football possible at the highest level available. If that is too far outside the box... I do like the OHIO ranking system that determines who gets in for playoff play.
  5. Tavern on the Green is great for a Holiday dinner. Did that about three years ago for my birthday. Take a buggy ride through Central Park. A lot of shows were filmed in the park. Rockfeller Plaza great place to watch the skaters on the ice rink as you enjoy adult beverages. Neat place to walk through as well. If you are lucky, you may be able to pick up some show tickets... Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty ferry is a must. Walk through Chinatown for some great prices for Mrs. Clyde and then walk back to Little Italy for some great Italian food. For some late night fun... go to Times Square and just watch the people. In the AM go back to Rockefeller Center and watch some of the News programs. Most do some bradcasting spots outside with the people. After that, you will be ready to come home to Kentucky!
  6. Best of Luck to Willie Taggart and to the future of Hilltopper football! Take I-65 north to I-71 north to the heart of Northern Kentucky football talent! http://www.seattlepi.com/scorecard/cfootballnews.asp?articleID=268836
  7. I understand your sentiment towards Willie... just want to clarify that UofL does ont recruit Kentucky athletes. Greater Cincinnati, Yes, Kentucky, NO. IMO, University of Kentucky does a fairly good job of going after the Kentucky football athletes.
  8. That's funny! IMO, the 'Cards next coach will most likely be from the D-II or D-III ranks!
  9. I think it all looks great! BLUE and White. Now if we can just get a decent gust of wind to blow the press box over the hill... life would be peachy!
  10. Would love to see UK against NAVY. Any remote chance of that happening?
  11. I am going down for the game and just might jump the wall to take down the goalposts! GO CATS! CATS CATS CATS
  12. He did and has become one of the best in the business... but to some Notre Dame is Notre Dame and a contract is meant to be broken! It wouldn't suprise me in the least.
  13. Relax everyone... John Gruden is going to ND!
  14. The field turf Highlands installed is actually a better product than the fields most schools are installing today. It has both, a rubber and sand base. Most fields installed today just have the rubber base. Also, this field does not become slippery when wet!!! A big plus. Yes, the field looks a tad worn. That is due in large part to its exposure to the sun and other outdoor conditions after 7+ years, but better, due to all the many uses the field has provided to the youth of Ft Thomas! :thumb: Are metal cleats sill street legal on grass fields?
  15. Exactly! Everyone knows that we do not have dorms on campus... they are across the street from the Middle School!
  16. I think the term, "Buckwad," would be the best fit!:thumb:
  17. I agree... he is not much of a threat to take the ball deep on the long run. He may garner short yardage in critical situations but not a threat to run it deep. Too slow for SEC play. I had hoped Fidler would have been given more PT this year... especially in the Georgia game when Newton was struggling in the first half with his errant throws.
  18. Birds by 49. No disrespect for the Maroons... but this 'Birds team is that good! (gamehunter and I nailed the 21 point spread last week :sssh:)
  19. My bad... South Florida beat the cards. Although, Nortre Dame and UConn could beat them too!
  20. I am not going to bash anyone who supports the UK program. Heck, I am inclined to agree with you that Joker may not be the best fit to take the program to the level where Florida and 'Bama are now. For most of the game last evening, I was questioning his play calling, and not inserting Fidler to shake things up... For now, I will take the win over Georgia and UK preparing for a win this week over UT. An 8 - 4 regular season is certainly a step in the right direction and I think that will help the team morale and help with the reruiting efforts. Baby steps...
  21. Where are all the Louisville Cards posters that love getting on this site to bash the 'CATS? I think one said that UK was "wallowing" in the depths of the SEC! Oh contrare... our heads are up above the depths of SEC darkness The Blue is going to beat the Vols next week! And speaking of wallowing... what did the 'Cards do yesterday with UCONN? THEY LOST!
