I was checking these on a website and noticed a few names that are putting up some incredible numbers this season.

 

Ricky Buckler- Bellevue 252 pts scored...2670 rushing yards...40 TD's

Miles Simpson- SK 256 pts scored....2170 rushing yards

Reese McShara- Boyle Co 258 pts scored.....2358 rushing yards

Dominique Hayden- LCA 266 pts scored...2226 rushing yards 44 TD's

 

 

These Running Backs are clearly defining themselves as the best players in the state offensively.

 

Who gets Mr. Football nod?

Caleb Watkins has 34 total TD's over 1700 yards on approximately 160 carries. He splits his time with 2 other very good backs. His total scoring this year is approximately 222 points. On the defensive side he has almost 85 tackles. He is an all around player as well.

And...Caleb Watkins is one of the the classiest, humble and flat out nicest kids in KY HS Football too! He is a Christian FIRST and gives all the glory to God.

Just like Domonique Hayden - another extremely humble yet gifted athletes in KY Football.

 

We need to give alot of credit to KY HS Coaches because these men spend more time with the players than most of the parents - and their influence is far-reaching and long-lasting in the lives of the players. This is why you will see the successful programs are being led by Christian men who understand their roles in the lives of the players.

Louisville Central RB, Anthony Wales in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs;

512 yards rushing 8 TD's and 1 TD Pass. How does this compare with some of the other RB in the state?

But I think that is true for almost every one of the players mentioned in this thread. None of them are playing full games and Simpson played hurt the first 3 or 4 games of the year, which limited his carries and effectiveness.

I am missing some of his passing stats still from Firday against Trigg

I know they don't include the last game, maybe the last two. But, I think it is easy to see that he is an "All Around" player.
