  1. DeSales coach reached out to him after learning that his son (Jayden) was going to attend DeSales. I'm sure any HC would have done the same. Coach Scroggins will have a lot more free time to spend with all 3 of his kids. I've heard the 7th graded is better than the twins. Holy Cross which is not far from DeSales is where his daughter (Jordan) is going to school. Coach has already been seen at events for Holy Cross and DeSales has both kids have started participating in summer workouts.
  2. I heard rumors that they were waiting on one coach in Louisville to make a decision.
  3. Great to see a former Jacket get a HC job. Congrats.
  4. Yes sir I do, tickets are at Mid court about 10 rows up. $80 total.

  5. Did Holmes play at another field or did they start this new field as soon as their season ended?
  6. J_Utah; You must have not been an AD in Jefferson County. No AD teaches. I thought that was one of the first things Jerry Wyman took care of when he became the AD of the District.
  7. Overstaffed is a word all Principals will throw out there. JCTA says that the lowest seniority person is the first to go when a Principal wants to start over staffing. So coaches that have been in the system for sometime should be safe. I know Coach Scroggins told his staff that the Principal of Central said he could be overstaffed.
  8. Don't be surprised if Rigdon gets out as well. I can see him going with Coach Lucas.
  9. Coaches do coach to help young players develop their skills and mode young males. However, in JCPS case they are not being paid fairly. Coach J has spoke the truth, every post he has posted is 100% correct. $7400 before taxes for entire season (including playoffs) is a disgrace to all coaches. Besides JCPS coaches, who would work over-time for free? Coach Scroggins said in the paper he has worked 40 plus games (45, I looked it up) for free. That would be 4.5 years which is a grand total of $33,480. Why not pay them a percentage of their salary for every round in the playoffs? Or better yet, like one post mentioned $100 per round.
  10. PRP is one of the schools I was talking about. Another school from the Highway will soon come out. JCPS really needs to take an interest into football.
  11. What is going on in Jefferson County? I've been told there is another 6A and a 4A school getting ready to open up as well.
  12. Scroggins resigns as Central football coach. Ty Scroggins resigns as Central High School football coach
  13. I'm a huge fan of the Championships being at WKU, however, it has changed over the last two years with WKU being in the CUSA Championship. That change is not good for the teams that have worked their tails off to get there. Dressing rooms across the street and in batting cages is not what you would expect a Championship atmosphere would be like. Central's half time meeting place was in the hallway of the complex. Security would not even let a kid use the rest-room in WKU locker-room. Coach Scroggins took care of it, but as mad as he was at the half I would have let him by as well. Is WKU still the best place for the Championship? Yes, if WKU does not host a conference championship.
  14. Anyone know how to get pictures from the game and not pay high prices? Would love to get a picture of Coach Scroggins and Coach Haywood together.
  15. Sad to say, I've heard that too. His son is one of the better QB's in Louisville as an 8th grader. Question, why would he not bring him to Central? He happens to be one heck of a baseball player as well. Central will be fine come playoff time. They are starting 7 sophomores, 7 juniors, and 8 seniors this year. Of the 22, 4 of them played last year. Give them time and Central will be Central again.
  16. I'm pretty sure the shoes were donated from the Big University next door. They are red/black adidas cleats. I know UL donates a lot of their stuff to them.
  17. Just talked with one of the assistant coaches, they had a meeting last night and Scroggins told them he was still the HC at Central. His oldest kids are in the 7th grade, so after next season he is going to see where they are going to attended high school. They both play travel baseball and softball.
  18. I wouldn't say that, but the streets of Louisville have him leaving Central. I hope he stays a Yellowjacket.
  19. Scroggins would have applied for the Ballard job if his friend (Coach Farmer) was not a candidate for the job.
  20. False statement 85_Rebel. They have a regulation football field in-which they practice on. They only play games at the stadium. Just so happens; so does soccer, jv/freshmen football, and youth league. This google map shows two fields. https://www.google.com/maps/place/1130+W+Chestnut+St,+Louisville,+KY+40203/@38.2509923,-85.772282,933m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x88696d5743b7d721:0xf1508acfdad71ef6!6m1!1e1
  21. Dry field changes a lot of things. Can not wait till Friday.
