Is it coincidence that we have HC 3 openings in JC?

Just seems unusual and makes me wonder if there is something going on in JCSD.

I'm hearing Valley is going to be open soon as well.

Not a sure thing, but with his collegiate and NFL experience, I could see Campos having the potential to move up the coaching ladder, or maybe landing a job as an assistant on some college level, be it D1 or D2. Worked as an assistant coach at Seneca, took over Valley late in the game and managed to basically maintain things from the previous season.

Would Campos leave while his son is still playing?

I think you have coaches who are just tired of working extremely hard and not really getting anywhere. Facilities are 2nd rate at best, pay is terrible, and they get no relief in teaching load. I think it's just becoming obvious that JCPS has to do more IF they want quality football. Im just not sure they care. But I'm on the outside looking in.

Expect it to be at least 6 and likely 7 by the end of next week.

Unreal turnover.

You're exactly right, I just don't get the idea that they care. It's almost to the point where they just need a to find a coach to field a team, forget about running a program the right way or even developing players. I'm sure there are a lot of factors that we don't know of, but it seems bad the amount of turnover.

It's going to get worse before it gets better. Some the the football facilities in JCPS look like 3rd world countries. Jefferson County Traditional Middle School has the best middle school program in the area and they feed directly to Male. There a reason why CAL and DeSales have risen the way that they have. They are good schools and less expensive then Trinity or X. Until JCPS addresses ALL of their issues it won't get better.

The football Head coach stipend according to the JCPS site is $4,500-$7,300 depending on experience. That's below average to average compared to those around the state. Take that plus below average facilities and heavy teaching loads it's a wonder they don't have more turnover than they already do.

4, don't forget about Eastern

Are you counting PRP, too? Was in Courier-Journal this morning.

JCPS also pays their teachers one of the highest salaries in the state. Have to look at both sides of the coin.

This is true, didn't think about that aspect of it.

Teachers in JCPS make as much as most head coaches make with their coaching stipends and teaching salary. For instance look at Oldham County Rank I at 12 years and JCPS. As a teacher and head football coach in oldham you can't even equal just a teacher salary in JCPS

Which doesn't settle that well with guys who put in just as much (more TBH) in their football job for 1/8 the pay.
