Did Johnson Central add Shawnee to their schedule?
ftbll4life replied to ftbll4life's topic in KY Football (High School)
For the record and from the top man at Central, "We wanted to play JC and they did not want to play us". "Yes, it was a one year contract", said Scroggins. I still want to know why Shawnee and not Central? Where are you JC fans? -
Agree with you on the SR night stuff, it was too long. However, ask every fan and coach from both sides, LC DID NOT ARGUE OR FIGHT WITH EACH OTHER. DO NOT START THAT CRAP. LC WAS FIRST CLASS DURING THAT GAME AND ALL GAMES. They just got tired and Scroggins should have used those timeouts he had. tdyballgame, why would you even make that false statement about that group of kids? Your wrong and you know it.
-
LL2 what game was you watching? Taylor carried the ball 22 times. That game was going to be a close game no matter what. But, that's not what this topic is about. Someone asked what they had returning. 8 out of 11 on that defense. Patterson (52), Cobble (54), and Wilson (1) will be the focus of that defense. Do not over look the other 5 returning starters, they would be stars on other teams. Offense, they return 4 out of 11. The JV QB took 75 snaps in varsity games last year and scored 5 times. He does not have the arm as Banks but, is lighting fast. He also, runs the anchor on Centrals 4X1 team. The same team that took 1st place in a meet against Paduach Tighlman, Male, and North Hardin last weekend. Look for the replacement to Taylor to be easy. LC is loaded at RB's and word in the city is that the best 4 Little League RB's will be attending Central next year.

Johnson Central vs Louisville Central
ftbll4life replied to ftbll4life's topic in KY Football (High School)
Talked with Scroggins at the boys basketball game the other night, (Good luck Central in the Sweet 16), it was a one year contract. But a gentlemen’s agreement to return the favor if a team did not find another game. LC did not look for another game due to the "fact" that JC coach said to Scroggins, "see you next year". Assuming that the game was good for both programs and that they would be in Louisville next year. The pay that Czar is talking about barely covered the full cost to bring two Miller Transportation Busses to Paintsville. So when I stated backed out, I should have said backed out of a great game for both programs. So Czar, there is your answer. My question is why JC would not want to play a defending State Champion that returns 9 starters on defense. Why would JC not called LC in December to tell them that they were not going to come to Louisville. There should have been a little bit more respect than that. But, it's over now. Look for LC to be playing a 6A team or a Catholic State Champion from KY or IN. -

Czar, you have all the answers. Answer my first post questions. -
Johnson Central vs Louisville Central
ftbll4life replied to ftbll4life's topic in KY Football (High School)
Confused? I'm confused on why wait until March to tell a school you're not playing? Why not tell LC that they were not going to come to Louisville after the game last year? Why not have the common courtesy to talk to these guys? Confused? I'm not confused if that is the way you think business is ran. So I guess the correct question is, WHY WOULD YOU NOT WANT TO PLAY A DEFENDING STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM WITH D1 PLAYERS? Why would you even look for another game? That's why I'm "Confused"? -

All was said about Scroggins not trading film, but what everyone does not know is that JC coach never attemped to call him as well. So by that Wed. of the game, Scroggins called WCHS. EKU, would you have not done the same. Plus, why drive 2.5 hours to trade film when you can make a 30 min trip to get the same game. Playoff games are different. -
JC does not return game to play LC. LC just finds out about this last week. Why would JC not play this game? LC makes a trip to the mountains and JC does not want to come to the city. Bad move JC, we thought you guys were first class. Anyone know why JC backed out of this game?:confused:

Top Class AAA teams for 2008-2009
ftbll4life replied to wideopen's topic in KY Football (High School)
Louisville Central only has to replace 3 on defense: 1 corner and the 2 DE's. Cobble, Wilson, and Patterson all three D1 prospects will help the Yellowjackets return to the Big Dance. After watching that Championship game, teams in 3A better have an explosive offense. Central does need to fill holes on their offense, losing 85% of there scoring. However, their defense should give them the ball in great scoring positions. -
Mike Jackson to Ballard ????

What??????????Why???????????? Class act!! -
That is what I'm talking about. "Not as much", should there have been any parent participation in Coach Lucas situation? There is a reason why you signed up to this site, to find out information on Butler. The school is going to release the name of their coach very soon, just welcome the new coach and be supportive. Not trying to put you in your place, just telling you the facts. And for the record, I have family members that have played and graduated from Butler. So, that should give you the credentials you are looking for.

Louisville area D1 prospects 2008
ftbll4life replied to THEGREENDANDY's topic in KY Football (High School)
That "blue and white" team will not even offer. Trust me. That's from a good source. Phillips is no better than TaShawn McBroom the RB/WR that played at Trinity. All D1 teams passed on him because of his size. -
Why should "all involved at Butler" have a say so? This same reason is why "Butler" is in the spot it's in now. There are too many people over there that think they have a "say so". Just because you may have attended the school or have child in the school does not give you power to "hire or fire" anyone. This is the Principal and AD call. Parents should just support the next coach that comes in. If Scott is the next coach at Butler, good luck and best wishes.

Tim is to small to play D1, sorry to say. Doss' WR Cameron Clemons Central's Ridge Wilson and Mister Cobble are D1, (Tim Patterson 09) Male's Justin Green -
Word is Catlett turned down the Butler job. There must be more problems with that job than has been reported.
-
I was double checking to see if anyone had mentioned him . He was a great back.
-
Gary Weler (sp). He was the DC, Lucas 1st year. Lucas fired him and he then was hired by Mark at Ballard to be the DC. I read on another site that the job is Marks' if he wants it.
-
Thats very interesting. Just with those 3 names you would have to think the 4th person on that list would not have a chance. Why would Holtzclaw want to leave the college level? Burnner would be good, I hate that for Nelson Co. If Cattlett gets the job, I'm sure he would take Coach G back to Butler with him. G brought in a lot of kids to Butler.
-
No one has really been talking about this job. What's going on with this hire? Where did this program go wrong? I know that Butler had a ton of kids on all levels. The new coach will have a big task in front of him. Good luck to the future of the Bears.

I think his number was #52. he's about 6'4'' 215lbs soph. he is one of the fantastic three of next year a long with #1 and #54
