Really? Then how is it that Hayden now owns and has destroyed 3 KHSAA CAREER Records which used to be held by previous Mr. Football award winners/candidates across KY?

 

Career Rushing TDs - now has 114 (broke Derek Homer/Ft. Knox of110 '93-96)

Career TD's - now has 132 (broke Kelvin Turner/Danville of 116 '01-04)

Career Points Scored - now has 801 (broke H.Phelps/Old KyHome of 722 '61-63)

 

i would suggest this is worthy of on the field success over time.

But I think that is true for almost every one of the players mentioned in this thread. None of them are playing full games and Simpson played hurt the first 3 or 4 games of the year, which limited his carries and effectiveness.

 

Yeah, but you are talking about EVERY game this year. Simpson was carrying the ball in the 4th quarter in at least half of his games, as was Buckler. I have seen 3 of the 4 running backs and Andrews, and Andrews scares me the most as an opposing fan.

Don't alway believe what you hear. Can't speak for Simpson but can assure you 4 games Buckler didn't carry ball at all in the 4th and 1 game he only played the first series in the 4 th. If your still in the game doesn't that mean you must be playing teams more competitive to your level? What ever that level may be I would think if your Class A you have Class A linemen blocking for you and if your Class 6A you have Class 6A linemen blocking for you. If your playing a team that is competitive with you I don't see how that would diminish the numbers you have put up? I would think just the opposite if your playing teams that you are blowing out you should put up some huge numbers.

They have never lost a game w/ him at the helm. I would agree Mr. Hayden is one of the most impressive players I have seen. Is Mr. Football a career award or yearly award? I think that could be the difference in rather he gets it or not.
