Who wins and why?

 

The last meeting Boyle County won 21-13.

 

A lot of people said that LexCath shut Boyle County down in the 2nd half, some people said Boyle County closed the playbook and dared LexCath to score 22 points on them.

 

I say Boyle County played very close to the vest and dared LexCath to score 22 points knowing that we would likely face each other again.

 

I say Boyle County wins by 2 tds or more.

Boyle 28 LC 14. Boyle's defense is to good and McShara won't be denied. I think if the game is played on turf Catholic might win. Where is the game going to be played.

On grass at Rebel Stadium depending on how much rain comes in.

 

I disagree though, I think we still win on turf. Our stout defense is faster on turf and Rees is faster on turf and they still haven't figured out a way to stop Rees yet.

 

Rees looked really good on turf tonight.

 

Centre isn't big enough to hold the crowd that will be at next week's game. Especially since Danville lost tonight.

Did Boyle County not score on a hook n lateral? I think that is pretty opened up. Plus Rees is the playbook. Rees is the MAN and I dont think any high school team can stop him for a whole game. Rees is a highlight waiting to happen because at anytime, any play or any where he lines up he can take it to the house. Boyle needs to work on pass D. CB and S dont look to be that great cover guys but they do tackle very well in back there when they get to. Which is not that much. This will be a great game.

Devin Cox is a better cover corner than you think. The pass D is better than you think also. Especially when they are expecting a pass. If LexCath's O-Line can't get the qb time to throw, none of that will matter. Grant and Paul will be in his face.

True. I still don't know why Rockcastle quit passing that game. It has gotten better since then and like I said about Devin, he is much improved at corner from where he was during the Rockcastle game.

 

They'll definitely give up passing yards, but like you said, I don't think it will be enough. Especially since it is really hard to run on us.

 

And yeah, Rees is fun to watch. I can't wait for next Friday.:thumb:

As much I want to think Boyle can win this game by two TDs or more,This will be another tough game as always.Lexington Catholic is really playing well right now and so I look for another close one.This game will be about Defense,but Boyle holds on for a 14-10 win.

 

PS I hope we're playing at our real home next week.At Rebel Field.

LC is healed up and better on both sides of the ball since last meeting.

Boyle did not play well or should I say aggresive in the 2nd half of the first meeting. I think they will play 4 quarters this time. They will win easily and advace to the Semi's.

I agree, you will see 4 quarters of football friday. There will be a little more sense of importance this week to advance. I feel the same way about the score, I don't see LC scoring 24 against our defense. We will probably give up some big plays in the air, but not too many on the ground.
