Raceland was clearly the better team on this evening. Ratliff and Coburn kept this one from being a real blowout. Their elusiveness was quite amazing. If Ashland can't figure a way to better their line play they will struggle all season. Congrats on a solid win for the Rams.

If Brown is in the Ashland lineup, Ashland just might be a team to be reckoned with. He can be a 1500 yard rusher type of player.

No question and there is no doubt the NFL will take any player they think will help them win, no matter the character, but but when you are choosing between 2 players evaluating the same they will typically pick the "perceived" good guy. Winston graded out well enough to overcome the "perceived" character issues.

I am not saying he wasn't right at all. But a leader on the team, in my opinion, should never publicly criticize his coach. And if the NFL does half the stuff it appears they do in evaluating a prospect, I just don't think they would look favorably on a player airing laundry like that. I know he is a kid but, right or wrong, he should have kept it behind closed doors.

I think Meyer handled it wrong. Can you imagine how Coach Cal would handle it if a player publicly criticized the coaching staff? Cal's player would have encountered his wrath all week and in all likelihood not played the next game. No player is bigger than any program. My guess is Elliott has damaged himself somewhat in the NFL draft. Leaders don't air their laundry the way Elliot did.

Now that I have calmed down.....here are my observations: -we gift wrapped, by my count, 49 points on Saturday on either giveaways or missed opportunities-not acceptable -starting QB stats are incomprehensibly bad and a change must happen(should have happened from the first snap Sat)--not acceptable -special teams are about as bad as it gets(not a kick return for TD in 3 years now)(can't get proper number of players on field after at time out)--not acceptable -communication on side line is apparently not good...Elliott said the trick play was caught in time in the box upstairs but not "communicated properly"--not acceptable -can't score from the one half yard line on first and goal-not acceptable I will stop there....after 35 years I have come to the conclusion I have minimum standards I require and those minimum requirements have not been met. I get frustrated and upset to the point I am miserable. I don't know how much longer I can continue to tolerate that misery. Please, please coach in the next 2 weeks give me something, anything I can hang my hat on!

I am a 6.....I agree patience is the key. However, I always look for something to hang my hat on. Right now, the only thing I can find is the recruiting upgrades. I really hope the next 3 weeks bring encouragement.

Considering taking a day to spend in Red River Gorge. I haven't hiked there, but would like to do so. I need recommendations on the hikes/sights that are "musts". May hike in the range of 8-10 miles. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

No question that Tiger would attract the most attention. What Spieth is doing that know one else has done(other than possibly Rory of Phil), is he is closing the gap. Tiger will always be "the man" but the gap is closing. If Spieth continues to match Tiger's record(which is probably still a stretch) his appeal will continue to grow immensely.

I think Spieth will be the closest thing to Tiger we have seen. He has incredible market appeal. Unlike Tiger, he is approachable, believable, gracious, open, very likable, doesn't use foul language.....I have read where he is a marketing dream. There will never be another Tiger, but Spieth will be setting a new, different standard.

Never waste food, if you put it on your plate...eat it! Always take time for your children(daughters in my case), this is the best time ever spent. Always mark the golf ball, heads up. Workout every day on some level. Always say the magic words..... please, thank you and you're welcome.

I have always felt that building and location was the perfect place for a "nice" Italian Rocco's type of restaurant.

I think is a bad and inappropriate decision to use Rex. Not a fan of his anymore. Once you lose trust in someone, they must earn that trust back. He certainly hasn't earned my trust.

Visit the Gas Lamp District downtown for dinner one night. There is an Aircraft Carrier you can tour. Old Town is nice to visit, Coronado, Petco Park(I took a tour of the baseball stadium that was nice)....San Diego is awesome. Whatever you do, don't go to Tijuana!

As an owner of quite a few rental units, I have the following observations: -the owner lives in another city, if the type of renter has declined the last 2-3 years after many years of good tenants, one of 2 things has occurred, either the landlord is losing interest and is now not screening his tenants properly or the economy in your area has declined(it may be a combination of both). Either creates a bad situation. -IMO your only real initial option is to have a frank discussion with the owner, and even if the owner listens it will take quite a long time to turn around the reputation of rental property. If he has lost interest, I wouldn't expect him to fix the problem. -I saw a similar thing in my parents neighborhood when the neighbors began to leave, they were replaced by people who either could not or would not maintain their property, it is now a complete slum. -unfortunately, you are in a situation similar to owning a stock that is down in value. Your either hold the stock and hope it rebounds or sell the stock and cut your loss. Not knowing the situation fully, it sounds like this will not get better and you are likely to be better off by cutting your losses and getting away from that neighborhood. I love to talk "Golf" and I wish there was a formal BGP place to do so. Is there any chance an "All Things Golf" category could be set up in the Break Room? Many times I have something I want to chat(rules, pro golf, amateur golf, golf clubs, local and state level golf, golf trips, handicaps, and on and on) about but can't find the appropriate place to do so. Is there anyone beside me who would be interested???

The last I heard, was that the guy who used Allenby's credit card has been arrested. Allenby apparently did not go to the strip club-there was no evidence per the detective. He maintains he still is unable to recall what happened during the "black out" period. Anybody heard anything different?

Davis is a good choice, I would have gone with Zinger myself.....I have come to the conclusion that the Ryder Cup is a bit like a bunch of guys going on a golf trip to Pinehurst....if you have ever gone on one of these trips, you want to leader to be someone you like, you respect and enjoy being around. When they take a stand on an issue you trust their judgement and appreciate you having the opportunity to give input. Watson, obviously didn't fit this mold. DL III is one of the guys who fits. My only concern is....is he too nice. Now it's time to make some putts.

Just read where JB said after the round, if his drive was shorter or longer he would have gone for it in 2, just didn't like the slightly downhill drive.

Another note that everyone forgot. The winner Jason Day in regulation(I think) had roughly the same second shot as JB. He hit the 4 iron(not for sure it was a 4 iron, but it was a long iron), Day had a compete miss hit came up well short. The only thing that saved him was he also missed it right of the water. So Day was aggressive and got lucky to even be in the playoff. That's golf. It wasn't JB's day.

I tough pin for a wedge is a near impossible for a 4 iron, leaving a very difficult up and down for birdie. I think he was playing the percentages.

I am for any method in which the guilty one has to endure a death that is more brutal than the one he caused. My opinion is that the punishment should exceed the crime is it is at all possible.
