  1. I was very surprised for sure....however, that Sunday pin is extremely tough to get to even with a wedge, not to mention a 4 iron. All kinds of bad things could have happened. Obviously, he felt the chance for 4 was as good or better laying up as opposed to going for it. I will give him the benefit of the doubt, he is the professional, not me.
  2. I admire people who have the initiative to do their own returns with TT, etc. And I understand that they are saving let's say $100-$150. My thought has always been that a qualified professional, who takes an interest in you and your financial affairs, would only have to make a suggestion/recommendation of approximately $400 to save you the $100-$150 you saved by doing them on your own. I would think that a close ongoing relationship with a professional should well overcome the minimal savings from doing them yourself.
  3. Just curious why you don't like Turbo Tax? I am in public accounting and have no experience with it. It seems very popular, I supppose because of great marketing.
  4. If you like Mexican, "Black Sheep", next to the Marshall campus is an interesting place with good food.

    PTSD

I had a friend who was in the Vietnam War and he never spoke of it. He was one of the kindest most gentle Christian persons you would ever know. He and I were once on a golf trip riding the golf cart when the tire suddenly blew out(sounded like a shot gun went off). The friend leaped out of the cart like I didn't think was possible. I have no doubt he was experiencing a flash back. I've always had a soft spot for those guys a half generation older than myself.
  6. I don't really know much about Roofies, other than how I was educated my The Hangover....those guys lost about 8 hours:ylsuper:
  7. I'm going with a nice golf course at the beach.
  8. At his press conference yesterday(Tuesday) he stood firmly by his story. He says he remembers nothing from 11:06 to(I think) 1:30. He is firm in that he has told no lies and what he said either happened(that he remembers specifically) or was told happened. He is playing in Phoenix this week. If you are familiar with this tournament, it's the largest and most rowdy crowd of the year by far. It's not like he is trying to hide. It's all an incredible story.
  9. A wise man I know continuously uses the saying "Decisions Determine Destiny"......that is so true.
  10. I forgot to mention.... the the gentleman who does the plank for 5 minutes is 81 years old!
  11. I'm at the Y when the doors open every day(5AM) 6 days a week(7AM on Sat). I lead a cross training class 2 mornings a week from 5:45 to 6:30. Been doing the early workout since daughter was born 28 years ago tomorrow. Trying to lose 5 lbs, so I have going back in the evening to do another 3-4 miles. Daily workouts are just a part of my life. Here is an awesome inspiration, there is a gentleman in my class who gives all he has everyday and can do a Plank for 5 Minutes!
  12. A friend put me on to Spaldings, very different but very good. Not a big donut eater but get one occasionally when if Lexington, that is, if I get there early enough.
  13. Jim's is excellent, like going back in time. If you go get the coleslaw-awesome.
  14. I haven't thrown a football in 30 years, so I can't recall how much of a pressure change there has to be to make a noticeable difference. Brady throws them by the truckload and he is one of the best ever. Making the assumption Brady had nothing to do with the deflation(innocent until proven guilty), is it a good assumption that there is no way Brady would not have noticed the deflating of the football during the course of the first half? If so, does he have an obligation to bring it to the attention of the officials/coach, etc.?
  15. I wonder where the officials were on this. Wouldn't they notice a bunch of scuffed footballs?
  16. I wasn't questioning at all. I was being facetious. I fully understand why someone would leave public accounting. I've seen people leave for many years.
  17. Never been on the corporate side.....I'm sure there are pluses and minuses both sides. Never had any regrets, but I don't know what I am missing.
  18. Why in the world would you leave public accounting?:ohbrother:
  19. Then we are pretty much on the same page. I think the confusion is the definition of the word "accountable". There should absolutely be consequences for her decisions. No question.

  21. So, she is fully accountable, but will should not be punished in the same manner as an adult? Just trying to understand.
  22. So, if it is determined that she is the mastermind, she should be accountable to the fullest extent of the law, just like any adult? Age is essentially a non factor?
