UkMustangFan, I completely respect you view on this, I really do. How would you determine how to hold a youth accountable for bad decisions such as this one. You must agree than age/maturity are a factor to take into account? Perhaps not?

There are consequences to all our actions. She is not accountable in the same manner that an adult is. If she is unable to function in a normal productive manner then she will/should be in a group home under stick supervision where she can be taught and counseled by professionals.

With all due respect UKMustang, my daughter, who is now 27 and doing brilliantly, made some, shall I say, crazy decisions at one time. I could write a book on what I had to deal with and tell stories that you would say couldn't possibly be true. Our daughter was raised in a home with unquestioned love and support throughout the family. However, when a young girl encounters a "predator", a family's world can quickly be turned upside down. Young girls are called a "minor" for a reason. They, sometimes, are not capable of making logical or rational decisions. That's why those who are 18+ are "supposed" to stay away. A co-dependent person and a predator attract like magnets. The co dependent cannot get away from the predator for a variety of reasons, far to lengthy to go into here. In my case, once I became fully away of the situation, I handled it quickly and decisively. It wasn't popular at the time and my daughter hated me, now she says if it weren't for my actions, she could have "never" got out of the situation. All I know is it was a living nightmare and I pray UKMustang that you never have to encounter anything like it. Best wishes.

In my opinion, there is no such thing as day "trading", just call it day "gambling". The stock market is for "investing" and that term is generally meant for long term transactions, meaning you ride out the ups and downs of the market. The market can't be timed for profits unless you are quite unusual.

I am 55 now and a couple of years ago at your current age of 53, I decided to see if I could get to a 6 minute mile, sort of a personal challenge. I am an athletic daily workout guy, low handicap golfer, etc. After a 2-3 months of effort, I did it in almost your exact time of 7 minutes. Unfortunately, about that time I got a cold, it was Christmas and I backed off my training efforts. So 7 minutes was my best, not sure if I could have ever got to 6 minutes at my age. Based on my personal experience(and I am a complete running novice), I know the effort you have made to get to where you are now. I would give you a 2 thumbs up. :ylsuper:

Close, mine was over the hill in Russell. Now I "try" to come to a 100% stop at my stop sign every time(hard thing to do), because I just know my guy will be lurking somewhere. Sometimes now 30-40 seconds after getting past that stop sign it dawns on me that I don't have a clue if I stopped "enough" or not. :wacky:

.....I had basically "ran that stop sign back there" at 4:30 in the morning with absolutely no traffic on the road. I kept my hands on the steering wheel, was respectful and polite. He returned the same respect. After a few other questions and comments he said be careful and don't do it again. I wonder how the officer would have handled it if I had been a bit disrespectful and gave him a hard time?

I personally thought the movie was awesome. It kept my attention completely, which is hard to do. It also, gave me a whole new appreciation for those who serve our country.

To say UK is bad for basketball is like saying the Yankees are bad for baseball, Tiger is bad for golf, Pete Sampras was bad for tennis, The Lakers are bad for pro basketball....of course UK is not bad for college basketball. This is just a unique moment in time and will pass.

Quality is the key IMO. If you are just getting rid of junk it's obvious. I have seen a lot of junk passed along. And it's very predictable who the ones who pass along junk.

IMO, this team has taken major strides across the board. This was obviously a poor game for a variety of reasons. This team just hasn't learned to win on the road yet, youth and inexperience definitely shows at times. Each year forward will hopefully be a progression. I for one, remain optimistic.

Here's a true story...my mom was sitting on her porch one day(my kids were there playing in the house) when a lady and her mother, while on a walk, stopped in front of mom's house to look at the back of a school she lived by. My mom, a talker, strolled out and chatted for a while. When the ladies got ready to leave the younger one invited mom to come see her the next evening at the Ashland boat ramp(Ashland's Summer Motion)...went right over mom's head and they chatted a while longer. When finally leaving, she invited mom once again... and mom said "Why Honey, who are you anyway?" She said, I'm Naomi Judd....Mom said, "I had no idea, would you come in and meet my granddaughters(Who were 4-7 years old)?" Naomi said absolutely and came in and played Barbie Dolls with my daughters. What an awesome story for my mom!

I have always liked the idea of 16 teams....no doubt you get the best teams as well as teams that have played well in weaker conferences that deserve the opportunity to show it on the field. Hopefully it will evolve over time to 8 then to 16 and stop there.
