The Independent : Putnam locker rooms green-lighted

The Ashland Independent school district accepted a bid to start work on new locker rooms, restroom facilities, and concession for the Putnam astadium renovation. There was a hold up on this as bids came in higher than expected. They will likely only have the home side completed by the start of the season. Visiting teams will have the option of using adjacent Verity Middle School, or a shell building of the finished visitors side locker rooms.

I wish they could get all of the first phase done this season, but it will likely take longer. The rest of the stadium is coming along great though, even though this is just the first of possibly three phases.

It would be gracious if Ashland would allow NCC to use the home locker room for the first game......lol! Sounds like it will be a great place to play, good for Ashland and all their fans!

Thank you Ram for the pictures.. It will take some time to finish all three phases, but Putnam should be one of the best in this state when its all said and done.

Looks awesome. It will be nice to have a really nice new stadium in the area

I find this comparison interesting. They show Varity Middle School in the background, during the construction of Putnum Stadium and now during the Reconstruction of Putnum Stadium.

Thanks again Ram!

Thanks again Ram!

No problem, glad to help.

Not alot of seats?

I would say it will seat probably 6,000 to 7,000 people, it goes 100 yards on both sides and all the way across the end zone. Pretty good size stadium if you ask me.

Never made it to a game there, but was always told this was a great place to see a game. Do you think after all the renovations that it will be worse, the same, or better place to catch a game?
