Are you making a premium highlight or just marking plays as highlights. And what are you doing it on? I haven't had any issues on my MacBook Pro or iPad marking plays as highlights for the team as a whole or individual players, and made one top 5 highlight, shared the top 5 highlight on Twitter and shared the team highlights for the game on Facebook and Twitter.

Seneca rushed 20 times for 1 yard net. 4-10-0 passing for 61 yards. 9 fumbles lost 6, no interceptions. Total offense 62 yards. For Fern Creek Wimberly 6 carries 110 yards 3 TD. Jamison White 6 carries 64 yards, 1 TD. Shamar Bryant completed 2 of 4 passes for 115 y with 1 TD, 2 INT. Kyree Hawkins 1 catch 75 y TD, Lamarius Kinslow 1 catch 40 y. Latrell Streater led with 6 tackles 2 sacks and a forced fumble. Trevon White had 6 tackles, Lamarius Kinslow 4 tackles. Seneca Antwan Satterfield completed 4 of 10 passes for 61 yards no INT. Dason Bowen had 2 catches for 28 yards. Gary Wells had 5 tackles, DeWayne Flourney had 5, Tahi Gelin had 4.

I have been checking out Digital Scout, it is a free app and allows you to upload to Hudl and Max Preps. It doesn't seem as easy to use as Hudl but provides more in depth stats, very close to what Statcrew provides, including season and career totals, drive charts. If I didn't already have so much experience with Statcrew would consider this

Hudl Stats thru the Tag A Game feature is really improved especially the tablet version. It still isn't as complete as Statcrew but gives you most of what is needed for media, khsaa. Things that we use in Statcrew that aren't on Hudl stats are drive charts, play by play reports, a lot of the more in depth team reports and game by game comparisons, and to combine seasons for career stats. One bonus for Hudl for coaching staffs is that using it for stat already gets the basic game info into Hudl to speed up game break down

I use The Automated Scorebook for Football STATCREW.COM - STAT CREW SOFTWARE it only runs on Windows 32bit ( I use my MacBook running Windows 7 on Parralels). It costs $400 for initial purchase and upgrades are $165 yr (not required). It has a learned by curve to start but once you've used it awhile it is pretty easy. I've used it since 1999 for semi-pro, Arena2, and high school. I am at Fern Creek now, previously at Manual, Atherton, Southern. This is the same software used by NCAA, also Trinity, Male, Central use it as well as all the Lexington area schools thru WL Stats, that company also does the state finals

Fern Creek was 7-4 last year, losing a 2nd round playoff game to Butler 10-0. Have to replace Tre Webb RB/OLB who had 10 TD and a Safety, had 39 carries for 259 y and 5 TD, 11 catches for 165 y and 3 TD, and Tre was leading tackler 80 tackles, 2 INT, 5 forced fumbles, 2 fun recovery (1 TD). Also CB Nick Morris was 5th in tackles with 41, 6 INT (1 TD), and 2 fum rec (1 TD). Cameron Petty was leading rusher with 154 carries for 668 y and 5 TD. 2 other big replacements are for Both Offensive guards, Kohl Dodd and Joe Humphries. On to 2015, Tigers move down to 5A, district will include Atherton, Fairdale, Iroquois, Doss, and Southern. Non district games are Seneca, Manual, DeSales, Moore, and Butler. Jr QB Shamar Bryant started every game last season 49-113-3 for 730 y, 9 TD. SR WR/MLB Lamarius Kinslow 6-2 236 is a WKU commit, had 30 catches for 462 y and 6 TD, was 2nd in tackles with 66 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 INT (60y TD), 1 fum recovery. Fern Creek uses a multi person backfield often in Wing-T and Petty's carries will be split amoung 3 returning backs. JR Kyree Hawkins 5-10 182 had 91 carries for 372 y, 4 TD. SR Delquan Wimberly 5-9 196 44 carries 293 y 1 TD, and So Devon Blincoe 5-9 208 didn't get promoted to varsity until the last 4 games but had 33 carries for 231 y and 4 TD. On defense, Kinsow in joined in LB core by OLB Hawkins 65 tackles, and So Dylan Dunbar 5-10 211. SR DE Latrell Streater 5-10 254 HD 44 tackles, 5 sacks, and SR DT Tim Long 5-6 229 34 tackles 7 sacks. Tigers return. 3 starters on OL SR Derek Leitner 6-3 324, Sr Evan Flener 5-11 251, and So Preston Smith 5-10 220. The Tigers multi attack offense will have 3-4 big strong backs to carry the load as well as the Bryant to Kinslow connection. The defense allowed just 15.9 points per game, and had 13 interceptions and 15 fumble recoveries.

A little surprised that Fern Creek couldn't crack the top 15.

I have a Sony DVD direct DVD burner made to connect to Handycams and burn without a computer. It has a USB and FireWire input for connecting direct to camcorders as well as composite RCA jacks for other devices, I have lent it to friends to save recordings from their DVR. It works great, simple to use, and has a preview window when using RCA jacks or FireWire and sets up chapters and such automatically. I had 2 different Sony VAIO desktops years ago that were supposed to capture video and it would work fine thru FireWire or USB but could never get the RCA jacks to work on either PC. A friend had success with a Dazzle brand capture device

Sorry for delay, missed this somehow. The Sony Camera is a HXR-MC1, it's discontinued by Sony and originally cost $2100, but you can usually find it on eBay for an average of $600, I got mine for $400, seen it as cheap as $250 often listed as high as $1000. Then I got a couple of quick release assemblies and a pole adapter that converts the pole end down to 1/4" for camera mounting and mounted it to a painters pole. I have two mounts for the monitor, one at the height for sitting when holding the pole, one for standing. And yes you have to hold the pole the entire time. But with the camera and everything it weighs about 10 lbs. next time I am at Fern Creek I will get a picture of the assembled pole and post it.

Withrow's pressbox is weird, it is a hallway in the school, they open the windows and pull over tables and chairs and hook up the pa and clock.

Fern Creek has had these Charcoal grey home uniforms for 2 years, with Matte Black helmets. The first year we had the Matte helmets didn't use decals, but last year we added the metallic orange and chrome interlocking FC. This year we are changing the facemasks to black.

The monitor part uses a small Sony battery and Sony memory sticks, has zoom, start and stop etc. here is a still shot from practice

Can't afford a drone, but bought a Sony POV camcorder from eBay that has a small lense assembly that connects to the main housing with a 9 ft cord. Mounted it on a painters pole that extends from 6 ft to 18 ft and get a pretty good view and it's portable and can move around unlike our endzone tower.

Just an FYI, you can upgrade the older TV without getting a Smart tv. I wouldn't buy a smart tv for the smart features, just based on price, picture, etc. usually a smart tv in at least $100 more than a similar non smart model, and you can get a roku or Apple TV for $69 and they have more apps than most smart tv, or if you are adding a bluray layer, most also include some apps like Netflix, Hulu, amazon. I use Apple TV as I have apple products, the one drawback is no Amason video app on the Apple TV.
