Is there a long term plan to add a field house? I don't necesarrily think you need an indoor practice facility in high school in Ky, but if Dayton can do it so could Bellevue. How much of Dayton's upgrade is coming from tax dollars? The development on the flood wall has a ton of people living there (if you try to drive the Avenue after 8am you know), and the small businesses are doing just fine seemingly. Bellevue is planning a big residential/business development so that should add more tax dollars for the school system. I would hope that would correlate to maximizing the high school facilities.

The young man is massive. He’s as big as he looks. I was surprised he was not getting recruited “heavily” but with the portal it’s hard to tell. Congrats and go Cats

Usually they play Ole Miss on a Wednesday at 9pm so I won't have to be tired at work the following day. Cats win.

To add to my take. When I was young guy, all I ever wanted to do was play football for Newport Catholic. My dad would take myself and 3 brothers to the majority of the home games. We would park at my grandparents house and walk the 4 blocks to Newport Stadium. My parents could've paid the out district tuition to go to Newport or Highlands (if excepting out of district students) but that wasn't even on our radar. We'd lean over the tunnel to smack helmets and get high fives from our favorite Breds. By time I got to high school my first 2 years (freshman were given the privilege to practice with the varsity) were brutal in practice. Every day was like the scene in Rudy when he's trying to make the Notre Dame football team, and my older brother took delight in taking it to me. Every evening I'd come home and my dad would ask "How'd practice go today?" and I'd say , "Same stuff different day, got my butt kicked again". He would always respond "Keep working hard, your time will come". My point being having a positive influence at home that can help reign in the expectations of younger players and help them realize sometimes you as a player are going to have to bide your time before you can touch the field, can also help keeping Head Coaches employed and wanting to stay for a long time.

If you google the Prestonburg vs Belfry fight it comes up. Brobible.com has a good write up of it and the full game on video. with about 43:51 minutes to go on the film is when it happens. My opinion the kid for Belfry started it. Went to the well twice and the Prestonburg player had enough. Couple nice shots before he was swallowed up by the entire Belfry bench besides one player. Good discipline by the Black Cats players on the bench, but I don't know how none of the other four players on the court could not just react and join in the fray. Kudos to those players. Cops go in the pile along with multiple coaches.

Great game to watch. The crowd was into it from the get go.

Just a simple reason, there was zero reason Newport and Newport Catholic weren’t playing each other for the regional title this past year or last season. Same for Highlands and CovCath. Corbin should’ve been playing Boyle for the regional title and so on. It’s foolish. Go to 4 classes, seed by district record and rotate the regional final and semi final depending on odd and even years.

Am I watching the twilight zone? Imagine a world where Kentucky Basketball under Mark Pope wasn’t down double digits at halftime.

Wow that is close. Hard to believe 1.7 seconds would be enough time to get a shot of considering it was touched and the Dixie player had to bend over to grab it then shoot. In real time I could see it as good for sure.

I hope he doesn't get discouraged if he doesn't play soon enough. With the portal it's easy to just say "I'll have a better chance over there".
