This is a game I’m quite nervous about. 4A school. “Only” lost to Highlands by giving up 42 points, I thought it would’ve been more. But then again the Breds showed some good mettle in the win against Campbell Co. Hopefully the rain is out of the area by time kickoff comes around.

Yes they did. I have zero attachment to any team but my Breds. Like my dad used to say (I'm 43) I see better than I hear. If the Birds stick offensively what they did last night, they’ll be fine.

The Birds were a bend don’t break defense last night. Against an offense you can’t prepare for, 100%, in 3 days of practice. Birds are the class of 4A in my opinion.

Should the higher seeds win out. Does NewCath have a return date to Raceland in the regional final? Drive down was fun, not so much on the way back. Good luck to all the teams.

If HCs record is any indication, this will be a running clock early. Last week, to me, the Tigers pulled up on plays where NewCath was going to score. The effort was what I was questioning.

In contrast to that argument. Highlands has proven multiple times this year they don’t blink often In tight games. Only loss to a Ky team was 1 point. that's how you make Commonwealth stadium in December, not well more time here, better play calling there. The Bird faithful have been critical of play calling all year and yet they win more tight games than they don’t.

On the long run to start this series of events. I was told the running back could’ve scored for SC. I was on the total opposite end of the field and SCs entire sideline leaned out to look blocking my view. If true that’s also a big missed opportunity.

I tune into one game. I am able to shrink the screen down to check the scores of other games and switch accordingly. The quad box is too much for me to handle. I’ll be watching one box thinking the play by play was for that game when it’s actually for another one. My senses get out of whack. At home on my much bigger tv screen it’s way easier to deal with the quad box.

I’m not a fan of Scott Co not trying a field goal at the end of the 1st half. Is this due to the kicking game not being there? If that’s the case they obviously had to throw to give them two shots at the end zone with no timeouts.

It’s up to the AD/game manager to address this issue. If it’s not addressed then eventually the officials will give the offending team a unsportsmanlike penalty. Every coach should have this talk with the AD, and in this instance the band director before the season even starts.
