I’ve seen Highlands in person 3 times this year. Scott County was the best test of speed and deception I saw and they were just fine. If PT can’t match them size wise and physically up front it’ll be a long day. Trinity has been the king of the castle in Louisville since Mike Glaser stepped down at X.

I understand it, you get a chance at being a principal of a school like Withrow you’ll be lucky to have any family time let alone be able to be a head coach. This is all 3rd hand do anyone with more concrete wording please jump in. Given his principal duties I feel like he has done a very good job as HC this year.

I know I’m so naive to how hard it is to be a head coach at any program. I have that dream in the back of my head that you walk in and just can convince everyone from the superintendent to the great grandma of the 3rd string d-lineman to buy in. I feel like all it takes is the right words and kids will give themselves fully to the greater cause of winning football games even if they don’t play a snap all year. As I said I’m naive. Campbell Co has had an issue for a very long time retaining talent or obtaining talent for football. Wrestling and Basketball have been top of the ladder for a long time. CC football had to battle with Brossart, NCC and now Highlands for football players. It’s not an enviable position at all, but if you can get the right person in place that can retain/obtain a key player or two then perhaps that slow build to competitive every year can be achieved.

Great pickup. I’ve been very impressed with the down field blocking of the WRs this year. I always remember hearing Jerry Rice saying he enjoyed blocking down field as much as catching the ball. A lot of kids hear they should block as a WR on run plays but not to many embrace it. These guys have so far this year.

Beechwood seems pretty high to me, especially considering Scott co didn’t make the list, along with 4 other 2A schools. Devils advocate, how would the Tigers fare against Scott Co?
